AAnnnnnndddd ! chester! That is just like a pic!!! You have crossed the limits of professionality!!!
i’ll also want to learn!
@ashesoftime !!! you are so awesome with digital drawings!!! sooo pretty!!
Hi @Honey8 it isn’t digital drawing. It was made with polychrome colours and some pastel colours! It seems to be digital because it was my first drawing for the video and I wanted to send it to Nick… but I changed my mind
I’ve got another inspirer!
That’s soooo cool! I
I must say digital drawimg is faster and for this kind of drawing is better because the colours fit better and clear. So I’m thinking about it lol
I’ll too after some yrs but rn i just want to work with hand
Me too!!! But to make good ilustrations it is really good!!
Okay… I’ve my friend named Priyanka. And she made this! Soo nice! Great with the colours!
My doodles!
I was practicing inking. At least i should know how to draw with pen when i start inktober lol
This one!! A traveller… nothing just future me . It’s actually made by someone else in 2015 inktober. I drew the same
the eagle is my favourite! I like the other two as well
Oh yes eagle! That was a digital art by someone on G+ . I just made that.
I know this is from forever ago, but my advice when trying to use charcoal is to use stick charcoal, like the kind that comes from cut branches, not charcoal pencil. Blacken the whole page, and then draw reductively by taking a kneaded eraser and ‘erasing’ on the blackened surface. You will need spray fixative to make it permanent and it will be fragile, but I’ve had some beautiful pieces come out that way.
Show one?? pleeease! just if you want to…
I’d love to. They’re quite worn from time but I’ll see if I can drag one out… I think my portfolio is somewhere I can reach it.
edit Nah it’s in the car that my roommate took to work. Happy to post when it gets back, though.
@lpfan61 In the meantime, here’s the one time I put a drawing through a digital program to try to clear it up. That was a hell fest. Didn’t turn out near as nicely as the original pen.
Did you draw the 2 portraits with charcoal? I mean like you said erasing? thanks for sharing!
With pencil instead of charcoal, yes, that’s the technique I used. (as long as you’re gentle 1] don’t press the pencil hard into the paper 2] use a harder grade pencil so it’s lighter) It’s most helpful/effective when you know you want strong light and shadow contrast, and it’s really helpful for you to see, as you’re drawing, sort of the layers of light and the emphasis you want to place. After the pencil drawing was finished, I put pen in where I wanted it to be absolutely black- because even the darkest pencil I had couldn’t get as dark as I needed. The rest of it is still pencil.
Wow!thanks for explaining! I’m not at a high level, but I’ll try this technique… not soon as I am busy…
@howdoitellyou thanks for your advice! I’ll surely try charcoal soon! For this year u want to learn inking and potrait (pencil) . Icd love to learn charcoal ones too!
Well loved that drawing its awessoomee!
Oh that’s good. Spams deleted.
