Personal Projects

Right, I’ve reverted my site, it should look like before now.

Headphone stand is done. Spent 10h, 43m, 37s printing the main body yesterday. Face plate came out looking pretty bad, so I reprinted it with a different orientation today so that it matches the texture of the rest of the stand. Mounting the whole thing was a pain, had to move my entire desk just to get to the corner I needed. It works just as intended and is so much more compact. Now I just need to finish off the Thunderbolt dock and to design a new pen pot and the overall desk project should be done.

This is by far the tallest thing I’ve printed, I was only 16mm off the vertical limit of my printer.

The back of the ‘crown’ is a little awkward, but you can’t see it when it’s mounted.

All the parts (with the bad face plate).

Been designing the pen pot / desk organiser for the past couple of days. Finished printing yesterday (main body took ~14h). Installed it earlier today. The lid doesn’t close all the way because I forgot to account for vertical / thickness tolerances, but it’s good enough for me. Bottom face came out looking terrible again. I really need to re-level my bed at some point. Now the only thing left is the top of the Thunderbolt dock which I’m actually kind of dreading, designing it will be a pain.

Same, looks great. Your desk is becoming more black though

That’s the point, I want it minimalist and black.
