Ι’m curious to know who’s mixing this one, I do wanna see Andy Wallace’s name but for some reason, in the back of my mind, I don’t think it’s gonna be him.
he only does rock music right?
I want the mixing to be done properly for once. It’s always been the weakest park of all of their albums.
@rickvanmeijel No, he doesn’t do just rock.
@the_termin8r Andy Wallace is a legend, it’s such a privilege their records were mixed by him.
A Thousand Suns flowed pretty well, in my opinion.
I second that Andy Wallace is a legend. He is my mixing idol. We need his guidance for the LP records once again.
I agree. I don’t feel like The Hunting Party flowed as well as A Thousand Suns did, but it did flow better than Minutes to Midnight.
day before album release OOPS OUR STUDIO BURNED DOWN, GOTTA POSTPONE THE ALBUM TILL NEXT YEAR.
I surely would expect that from Mike
Which combination of materials would be best? Hard rock or Electronic rock or something else?
I definitely expect a more electronic approach, after all Linkin Park has always been more electronic. Not to mention the fact they’ve been listening to lots of RnB, have a Hot Chelle Rae producer in the studio, and are probably working with Black Bear.
Electronic has become an important part of their music now. I’d like to hear more intros like “Burn It Down” “Skin To Bone” “White Noise” or “In My Remains” with more organic drums and pure guitars, not too much like The Hunting Party but more like MTM plus the new sounds. (Boxes,Cowbells, etc). I also think they will put more genres than their electronic alternative rock in this album, I guess something more fresh with their LP style. The song they made with Black Bear gets me curious.
In My Remains is one of the most irritating intros to a song they’ve made in my opinion, which sucks because I like the rest of the song
Agreed. Most of that album is obnoxious.
It was nice. Just a few songs are a little “meh” because those did not fit right with how the album was flowing as someone said before. Besides, they had to experiment and release something like that someday.
I enjoyed most of Living Things, I just get irritated by sudden, annoying, or unnecessarily loud intros to songs. You’ll just be shuffling through music and BAM! The worst offender is probably All for Nothing
It’s worse when you’re trying to get to sleep and you’re listening to stuff and a song just explodes in your ears.
Not sure how you would call the genre, but something along the lines of The Weeknd and Blackbear himself, is what we can expect from the new album. R&B mixed with hip hop maybe?
You forgot to put EvoOba’s many updates in the trailer, she’s basically half the hype at this point.
