"One More Light" Mega-Topic, Out Now!

I like how Chester said: “here’s your hybrid theory, now shut the f**k up” :joy:

I like Chester at the end as well. Honestly, I think this put them on a whole new level of respect for me. Like I already respect them so much, but now they’re like, 1 half a step higher.

Try to read this, @theearlywalker:

Have you guys seen this interview? I guess Chester’s “inspiration” for the song is why I liked it… It speaks of a problem many have to deal with everyday…

Actually, this rehearsal shows how easlily LP can create hybrid theory-style music. They just don’t need it. I like them now even more)

I completely understand what everyone are one are saying right now I really do, because when I was on YouTube all I saw was mean thing people were saying about heavy saying that “they are done with linkin park” and stuff so stupid like that and etc, it was terrible. The most thing got me mad was when their judging or have little opinion I understand that it just that people can go over the edge with saying too much mad comments about linkin park songs. People need to realize that the album did not come out yet and they did not hear every song yet so people need to GROW UP. “You can’t judge a book by it’s cover” what people need to ask then self some thing that came out only a little still they go on judge it even though the whole album did not even come out yet.
I love Linkin Park and I don’t care what music they make they will always me my favorite band any way. Who knows the people who are just hating on the new song might even go to love the song even more. Not only that Linkin Park is “one step closers” with their new music with their new album they are even one step higher if you know what I mean.:laughing::grin::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I think it’s just kinda funny of the band to adress the fans who hate that they aren’t making Hybrid Theory, but at the same time, I think they should not try to stir controversey. They’ve already done that with their new sound, do they want their entire fanbase to hate them? I love the guys and all, but I have already seen so many fans upset more about the livestream than the song.

I’m so fed up with this discussion appearing every time the band releases new music. If you still don’t know what LP is about after all these years, then gtfo

Sorry I am not getting your point. How else do you think the discussion should be like?

I think, he just wants to say that every time Linkin Park releasing new album there is a substantial storm of negativity - usually not big as it is now - but still.

Oh ok. Thanks. I misunderstood thinking it was about this thread  lol

Well, you can understand the people and you can understand the band. People hate every day - I would be so tired of that if I would be in LP team. You can see the same comments everyday under every post, hating new stuff. However, LP is still telling the truth - how can people ask about that same stuff for so long? Same kind of music? Anyway, I think both sides should be more patient and do not overreact like they do now.
Also, consider the fact that most of the people hate changes🙄

You know… The lyrics of Heavy actually dooms up in my subconscious mind every now and then, which is fracking annoying because I wasn’t really into it and… Damn…

I do want to say that I understand how people who really enjoy the Nu Metal side of Linkin Park can get a bit pissed/dissapointed/mad, because that’s the style they fell in love with and then hoping for something that has just a slice of a slice of a slice of a hint of what that style used to be come back in their new material. Sure the band experiments a lot and sure they are allowed to do that, if they’d release a reggae album next time I wouldn’t be mad about that either but hey we don’t know what they’ll do next. The element of surprise can be a nice one or a not so nice one. We’re all different with different tastes, and that’s a good thing. The hate speech we could do without, though, I agree. Sometimes it would be nice to just agree to disagree on a topic and then just leave it at that.

Fact is that this Heavy song is being liked by the bigger crowd and that’s something any band wants to accomplish every now and then, too. So yeah.

You’re right. Eventually, nobody forces you (people) to buy their new album if you don’t like it

I have no problem with the discussions going on here, I just can’t stand the overall hate and desire for another hybrid theory anymore

Oh. yeah, he wasn’t talking about this thread) we’re not Facebook here:joy: - We respect each other and the band. We have more constructive conversation) Moreover, we have conversation(!!!) unlike most of the people on Facebook and YouTube who just throwing :poop: In each other’s faces :joy:

Hey thanks for replying. I feel the same dude. Just hope the fanbase copes up with their new style and supports them all the way through. But who am I to talk for a whole bunch of people with wide range of opinons and ideas… You think they made this song to gain wider recognition since many have said it’s a simple generic pop song?

no, I firmly believe they don’t make music just for the sake of more popularity

You’re right. I have always felt comfortable reading this thread compared other sites such as facebook
about LP as I tend to find more positivity and reasonability on how we feel about their songs.
