Well it definitely hit the mainstream which is good for the band! I’m happy for that! Trending #6 on YouTube and on apples hot new tracks list as #5! I happen to be a fan of all genres I like Chelsea Grin (death metal) to A7X and disturbed to Ariana Grande to Woz Khalifa and to Steve Aoki so I like the new LP song and the more I listen the more I like! People are just gonna have to accept the band is changing and won’t stops so stop whining about the old cause I’m sorry it’s not coming! Tell me what band do you know created albums for Nu Metal (HT and M) , Electronic (LT), Rock(MTM), Alternative (ATS), and now Pop’ish’ (OML)! What band has covered a different genre with every album! And done it successfully every time too! They change EVERY ALBUM! That in itself is baffling and amazing to me! So at the very least, even if you dislike it, you gotta respect it!
So to me the true question is … not what genre is linkin park… it’s what isn’t Linkin Park genre? (Except country lol)

Its not even close to so called “pop”. The vocals are mostly raw and very good modulation by both singers. There are distinctive instruments. There is a bass line. The drums are solid. There is guitar towards the end. There is no autotune or any sort of EDMish stuff. Just pure ambience and voice. The voice, lyrics and the message they convey is the focal point which you could not digest. It pains your ass coz its mostly vocals here and a catchy beat. If you want to hear their rock/metal side, listen to Hybrid Theory, Meteora, MTM and THP. There’s a lot of stuff there. People calling them sellouts should go and watch the live performance they did on Facebook yesterday. Learn to identify music and appreciate creativity. They have done it all coz they had the balls to do so (which you surely lack). Making a record like this after a heavier album like THP takes balls coz you’re bound to be criticized for the ever changing sound of the band. That’s what makes them the best at what they do. Creativity pals, Creativity. Not repetition.

GuYs … a Great attitude inhere is tolerance! If you like the single… I won’t tell you to dislike it - so I would love to be respected also I can not get into it… Everybody has the right to tell his opinion! 
At first I did not like that single at all. Live was much better. But I have to say the lyics are dope and get them that’s to the moment I have in my life.

I have learned to like that sond, BUT I dislike Kiaara for some reason. I personaly don’t like her and her music. I hope to get a version without her.
Ok, I’ve heard it so many times now again. I like it, I give them the chance, because I understand how Chester is trying another style with his voice after almost 20 years of louder chords and screaming live!
I also noticed on their livestream that songs like BID and Crawling needs more strenght by him, and Heavy has even higher notes that don’t need the same effort like the other songs, Chester really did it pretty nice on this new song, the second “And I drive-my-self-cra-zy!” was beautiful, I loved to see how he could feel the song. I tried to sing the chorus part as it have to be and its a bit hard you know? xD
Yes, very much yes. I can’t believe they pulled this BS on us. Just like Nine Lashes, they used to be a good band and then they pulled some pop nonsense with Ascend.

Maybe you are fan of LP’s music. Not LP. If you don’t like their style don’t listen to it. I am a fan(fucking soldier)of LP and I will always support them , even if their next album only literally contains drums solo.
Wow, all those hate comments on YouTube, it seems they even did not follow what the band was posting through last year and these months, they surely just have heard “Numb” “In The End” “What I’ve done” “New Divide” and that’s it.
They just don’t know what’s up lol.

Well I have supported this band always but I don’t like this new turn. We are all allowed to like and dislike whatever, because nobody is the same. It doesn’t make one less of a fan.
I personally think Nsync sounds better than this new LP ft Kiiara single. That is my opinion.
And that is what’s great about people! We are all different and are entitled to our own opinion! We may like hate it or whatever! The thing is we can’t bash anybody for liking it or hating it! The only thing I don’t like is when people say go back to HT cause they should’ve given that arguement up when MTM came out and yet they are still saying it! It’s been like 17 years come on people! Other than that I could care less who or who doesn’t like it! I’m not gonna bash anybody for hating the new stuff and If there’s one thing for sure LP has a lot of balls!
Ah this age old argument that doesn’t really make much sense. If a charity you support murdered a bunch of people would you still support them?
Besides who said I’m not supporting them. People have it in their heads that being a good fan means being a dull, boring, hollow shell of a human that just kisses up to whatever they support.
If I hate the new song. I’m gonna hate it regardless of everything else. Doesn’t mean I hate the band. And it doesn’t make me any less of a fan than you. So what if I don’t like the new song or buy merch or LPU stuff? If you think there’s varying degrees of how ‘good’ a fan is then you’re rather thick.
I think the biggest problem here is the disrespect people have for other people’s music taste. Yes, there are fans who just want Hybrid Theory and Meteora. It’s the oldest complaint about their fanbase I’ve heard. There’s also fans who refuse to dislike anything the band puts out and say, “If you don’t like it then you aren’t a true fan.” The band will evolve, that’s not a lie. People evolve, that’s not a lie. You don’t have to evolve at the same rate as the band though, nor do you have to like any certain type of music. State your opinion as fact, but keep in mind people will feel differently than you about basically everything you can hear. The problem is the fanbase can’t all just be fans of the band with objective viewpoints on their music because they’re all blinded by their love of Linkin Park, or rather their love for and specific Linkin Park.

For me thing is simple: We don’t have to support everything what they creating, suporting or doing ok I have mixed feeling about the Heavy but I can’t say I completely hate that song just I give them a chance and will be waiting for the new album.
