New Song opinions

I think it will be available later today, probably better quality too.

Would have rather heard mike rapping.

Yes yes yes. I love the new song, and the heavier sound but it would be better if it were Mike rapping.

I love the rock sound, don’t really care for the lyrics. The production value is horrible and the rapper sounds out of place on the track. Maybe it’ll grow on me more.

I love that song and I’m super happy, that they didn’t went deeper into disco sounds. In my music collection I would sort that song into “Speed Metal” genre. My only criticism is, that the rap part doesn’t fit into the song in my opinion. Without it the song would be even better.

[quote=EvoOba]Sorry everyone but The song sounds so so so so bad to me. It reminds me of the Pirates of The Caribbean soundtrack with a little extra distortion. Chester sounds horrible too, it’s like he’s struggling so much to sing. Horrible, just horrible. I hope the rest of the album will be much better

Yeah I also thought it sounded similar to The Pirates of the caribbean, I’ve just watched all 4 films lol!
but the song is awsome!!! the end of the song is just epic!!! i didn’t like the rapping bit from Rakim so much, I thought it sounded so unclear, like you can’t hear him that great, but the song is just awsome!
can’t wait for the album, if the album is released with the same space like between Burn It Down and Living Things, it will be released in May maybe?!?! I hope this is the only track on the album that is featuring someone, and that it will not have any fillers(Album intro and Instrumentals like Session and Cure For The Itch i whould like!!!)

One word: amazing!

Awesome song! Can’t wait to hear more! (^0^)/

[quote=LPradeepS]GUILTY ALL THE SAME LYRICS (75% complete - excluding Rakim’s verse)

Tell us all again / what you think we should be
What the answers are / what it is we can’t see
Tell us all again / how to do what you say
How to fall in line / how there’s no other way
But oh, we all know

Your guilty all the same
Too sick to be ashamed
You want to point your finger
But there’s no one else to blame x2

Your guilty all the same!

Show us all again / that our hands are unclean
That we’re unprepared / that you have what we need
Show us all again / cause we cannot be saved
Cause the end is near / now there’s no other way
And oh, you will know

Your guilty all the same
Too sick to be ashamed
You want to point your finger
But there’s no one else to blame x2

There’s no one else to blame
Guilty all the same!

Guilty all the same! x2

Your guilty all the same!

What the answers are
What it is we can’t see
Tell us all again
How to do what you say

How there’s no other way
But oh / We all know

YOU’RE GUILTY ALL THE SAME
TOO SICK TO BE ASHAMED
YOU WANT TO POINT YOUR FINGER
BUT THERE’S NO ONE ELSE TO BLAME
YOU’RE GUILTY ALL THE SAME

Show us all again
That our hands are unclean
That we’re unprepared

YOU’RE GUILTY ALL THE SAME
TOO SICK TO BE ASHAMED
YOU WANT TO POINT YOUR FINGER
BUT THERE’S NO ONE ELSE TO BLAME
YOU’RE GUILTY ALL THE SAME
GUILTY ALL THE SAME

Can y’all explain
What kind of land is this
When a man has plans of being rich
But the bosses plans are wealthy
Dirty money scheme
A clean split is nonsense
It’s insane
Even corporate hands is filthy
They talk team and take the paper route
All they think about is bank accounts
Assets and realty
At anybody’s expense
No shame with a clear conscience
No regrets and guilt free
They claim that ain’t the way that they built me
The smoke screen before the flame
Knowin’ as soon as the dough or the deal peak
They say it’s time for things to change
Rearrange like good product rebuilt cheap
Anything if it’s more to gain
Drained, manipulated like artists, it’s real deep
Until no more remains
But I’m still me
Like authentic hip-hop and rock
Til pop and radio and record companies killed me
Try to force me to stray and obey
And got the gall to say how real can real be
You feel me, we’ll see
That green could be to blame
Or greedy for the fame
TV or a name
The media, the game
To me you’re all the same
You’re guilt

The new song is fantastic. Love it. A great album is ahead.

I am going INSANE trying to listen to this song. I must have tagged different LP songs 5 times and got the link, but it isn’t playing. The most I’ve gotten is the first three beats. Hopefully they release it online soon, because the wait is killing me >.

“GATS” sounds like QWERTY, its like the old linkin park.
Maybe this new LP album will have more heavy/rock sounds as Mike say in the interview.
It would be awesome if the album have a 70% old linkin park and a 30% new linkin park (electronic sounds)
I can wait to listen this new album!!!

i love it!!! if its an indication of the overall sound/direction of the new album , then its going to be awesome!
at least i can hear drums again lol joke

GO LP!! [mrgreen]

It would be better if Mike was in it, but Mike will be in the rest of the album. I like the heavy-ness, but its not a regular heavy song like you’d think. I like it. Im hoping the albums has this style to it.

I think I agree with Evooba a little on this one. The start of the song sounds like a 90’s Demo and the rest sounds like really soft Pirate Metal. Chester’s vocals are good as always but I guess I was expecting him to scream at least once. If it wasn’t LP I wouldn’t of bought the song. I actually laughed when I first heard it because there is this Pantera Style opening and then really soft, high pitch vocals. I hope the rest of the album sticks with this genre but I also hope there is better than this to come.

Why LP are producing this album on their own this time ? Why not Rick Rubin there ? Does that mean with the producer there, Mike has some kind of restriction to make music of his choice ? So they chose to be independent this time ? As I see, last three album had Rick Rubin (LT also ?). But this time I found this thing quite interesting… (Because I still remember what Mike said in the song “Get me gone” Fort Minor - The Rising Tied song).
(I am just curious, if I am wrong please forgive me)

Here’s the thing about the new song…

For me, with the progression in the last 3 albums from meteora and hybrid theory, this song goes a little backwards for me… I’ll always be a fan of the band, but I just dont get why they went back to this style.

I hope they didnt write this song to appease the amount of fans out there who cry out “Linkin Park arent that great anymore!they should make songs like on Hybrid Theory!”

I mean if you consider Living Things, this song is almost another genre!

Just what I think, still cant wait for the new record!
