New Album out before June? - What do you guys think?

We know now that Linkin Park are going to perform on Download Festival in June 2014.
Do you think they are releasing an album before that??

LPLive recently shared a link on Facebook with a video, where Mike confirms that the new album will be out before July 2014

Can you send the link?

I think it’s good, as long as they don’t rush it.

So good to hear this.

I gotta take it with a tiny grain of salt anyway because LP has delayed albums before. This is a band that cares about quality so I would not be surprised to see July pass by in order to avoid rushing.

The way to know for sure is if we get an exact date, or they give us a time that’s less than about 4 months away because if they’re that close then they should be good. July is still a better part of a year away though.

Honestly, I kinda wanna wait till September for a new album. I only say this because Minutes To Midnight took 18 months to create and that was my favorite album by Linkin Park, so if Linkin Park takes more time on writing the record so they have more ideas or something really good for us fans all over the world.

Living Things was 18 months. Minutes to Midnight was 4 years, and came out at least a year after the band originally estimated it would.

The reason Minutes To Midnight took so long to create, was because they started off with making really heavy songs and then they decided to make something different. They also made allot of demoes.
I want to say something. People have been bitching about that LT was a rushed album. LT took about the same time to create like ATS and Meteora. The reason it came out just two years after ATS is that They have shorten their touring cycle!

MTM came out 4 years after Meteora but it took 18 months to create.

I am ready to wait for one more year. I think LP is working on new album in their own way and I like what they do. So let them take their own time and come up with awesome music as always…

Time is not an issue. If LP need two or even three years for creating a record, I’m ok with that. I guess most fans are too. I never was a friend of the 18-month-cycle-idea. I guess the main thing is, that the guys have fun when they are in the studio and working on new stuff. Nobody needs stress except the record label, cause their first priority isn’t the music but the money.

I think what yes :)))) Recording of the album already at the latest stage… So we will wait in the first half of the next year[cool]

I honestly careless when it comes out. I think LP will put it out when they feel ready. I wouldn’t say its going to be the first half of the year because they are constantly changing so they change their mind on a music style. As long as it is good, and well thought up i don’t care when comes out, but I’m sure it will be great!

As long as nothing is rushed and the album feels truly finished, then it doesn’t matter when it comes

The two first album was, you could say, their signature sound albums. The third and fourth albums was their experimental albums. And then the fifth one is a mixture of the previous albums. So what will the next one sound like? It will most likely not sound more electronic then ATS and LT, but it will have noticable electronic in it.

Song writing starts long before they set foot in a recording room. The band are always writing music, especially while they’re still on tour from their last album. Just because they changed their mind in the middle doesn’t mean it wasn’t part of that process.

Expectation is the first step toward disappointment;

I think the album will be done before they hit the festivals, they would never do festivals while still working on albums

hmmm…so far no teasers being heard.

Shouldn’t rush them though…let 'em take their time with the new one so it won’t sound rushed.

this one will not be rushed, non of their albums were!, because already around february they said they had allready 8 songs in the mix. They did not have so many concerts this year. so if the new record doesen’t come out before may-june they will have worked on this album for about a year.

they made Not Alone in around 24 hours. That song was awsome!!! So they are capable to make an epic album in a very short wile.
