Meet & Greets

Sup people. Has anyone been to a M&G? Can you get things signed? Can you take pics? I was just wondering. Can you get a pic of them while their signing stuff? What’s it like? I have been a member of LPU for 6 years and never went to one. I’m hoping I can this year. I’m going to 2 concerts so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. [cool]

I was at the M&G at Madison Square Garden on 2/4/11. You can only get one item signed. Yes you can take pictures but the flash must be OFF and you can’t take individual pictures with the band members as the line has to move. You can take pictures of them while they are signing the things but you shouldn’t do that if you’re getting something signed because I guess that they wouldn’t want a camera right in their face lol so wait until you’re back waiting in the group. A M&G is an amazing experience and I’ll never forget mine! Good luck with getting picked!

I guess it all depends on the venue, but some things are the same everywhere, like no individual pictures with the guys, only one thing to get signed and flash OFF.

At Skive Festival two days ago, we were faced with the boys as soon as we got in, and didn’t really have time to take photos before we had to get our things signed, and we were not allowed to take photos afterwards because the room was so small.

Also no group photo at the end, which sucked big time, but they were in a hurry - the show started like 30 minutes after the M&G ended.

But you can definitely look forward to the M&G. I was very reserved and didn’t really say much more than hi and thanks, but I’m sure they’ll happily reply if you ask them quick questions. Good luck!

I just lived one  hahaha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdyKMz61DGY \o/ Can’t wait for more  One day.

Can you have a photo taken by someone else of just you and the guys?

Does anyone know how many peeps get selected for m/g’s

It varies from venue to venue. At Skive we started out being 37 people, but more joined LPU at the day of the event and got in as well. I think we were a total of 50 people. But sometimes it’s less, sometimes it’s more.

Adam has said in one of his blogs, that it’s somewhere between 30-75 people, but usually it’s 60-75 people. Again, it all depends on how big the venue is.

Thax Maria

hey, I’ve been to a meet and greet last sunday. You can take pics (no flash) while you are standing and waiting to get your things signed. You can not make pics/videos while they are signing your stuff, they want to talk to you and look at you, not your camera. You can get only 1 thing signed, no exceptions. At each meet and greet will be picked ONE person, which can make individuall pictures with the band. There will be camera people which will make two (or sometimes more) pictured of all lpuers together with the band. You can NOT hug anyone. Just shaking hands. You can give presents to the band.

Right before we entered the room, someone told me we weren’t allowed to take pictures at all, because i was holding my iphone ready… So suppose it depends.

I read somewhere that they want to talk to you, not your camera. But perhaps you might be able to take a picture while they sign someone else’s items (no flash). It depends on the venue.

Each band member will sign one item. If you want them to sign different items (e.g. Mike signs a Fort Minor CD, Chester signs a Dead By Sunrise CD) it’s possible, but they’d rather just sign the same item in order to save time. Also, you should avoid bringing large, heavy or otherwise bulky items.

Maria: Actually the Meet & Greet was merely about 15 minutes before the show.

Marianne (Moerianne): While I was walking along the sidewalk (you know, the one we were told to walk besides for some reason), I took a picture, and a woman told me to not take pictures before we were through the backstage restaurant and had gotten to the Meet & Greet itself - suggesting I was allowed to take pictures of the band. I don’t know why you were told something else. :s
I didn’t have time to take any pictures, though, I was way to busy with being told by Dave and Chester that I win.

Anyway, Crystal / 2 Midnite, just enjoy it, and don’t forget that they’re “regular” people (besides from being gods), so don’t do anything crazy you wouldn’t have liked if a stranger did to you.

pshshihi :frowning: Yeah too bad. Wanted a good picture of them. OH WELL!

at BFD last year I was able to get them to sign my lyric booklet from a Thousand Suns but no picture because of the time there were going on like 10 minutes later

i had my first meet & greet yesterday at Rock im Park. It was awesome, i brought a poster with me for the autographs. Lp was suprised about it because they have never seen the poster bevore

Wait…so you CAN’T take a picture of you WITH the band? :frowning:

I thought everyone can take a picture of them with the band?

Does anyone give them presents?
