Meet&Greet at Rock am Ring 02.06.12 TERRIBLE AND DISAPPOINTING

That sucks, and I feel bad for you. But there wasn’t really anything the band themselves could have done, don’t be disappointed in them. Festivals are such a clusterfuck anyway, everything was probably behind schedule which led to them being rushed with the M&G. Last time I saw them we were able to take pics while getting stuff signed, but I always felt really weird doing that, just taking a pic of a guy sitting there, I mean he’s a human being, not like some interesting site to see (well… you know what I mean  ) I got way better pics of them in action during the show, anyway.
I hope you give the band themselves another chance, anyway.

Yes that’s true! I guess I won’t take my chance to take pictures, while I’am standing face to face to them. That’s just not done and I would feel stupid.

Yup, M&G can be way different. The one I had at the summit in Chicago was great! I think, because it was a special LPU event and band didn’t have to rush to the show. They were very friendly and there was enough time to ask them a question and shake their hands. I even got stuck near Mike, trying to show him my artwork.
Another one, in Vegas, in Club Tattoo, was pretty bad, because we were waiting for few hours and didn’t have any time with the band…I had just enough time to say hi and it was over.
Chester was right after his sickness and looked like he was going to fall asleep right on the table. He tried to look friendly, though, can’t blame him. He’s usually the most caring one and openminded. If you meet him somewhere outside the venue, I’ve never seen him saying NO to a fan to sign something or take picture.
Brad was wearing a hoodie and didn’t even show up from under it and didn’t even say hi…So I decided NOT to do public open m&gs with the band, LPU only. And I’m not expecting much from festival m&Gs…

But it’s importand to say your opinion about everything. Hopefully, that helps to make event more exciting and better quality.

Is my english too bad or yours? Am I the only person who can’t understand what this text is about?
I can’t imagine that a meet and greet with LP could ever be terrible…I have never met them so be lucky about that and don’t expect that you come in and they just care about you for half an hour…there a lot of fans who want to get an autograph or whatever.

I can tell it’s frustrating, the meet & greet in Skive this year was also a bit rushed, but it was still GREAT to know I’d actually met the band. Regardless of pictures with them or not I think you should be grateful that you got the chance.
You should also consider how tight their schedule is, and that they, like other normal people, might be a little tired after traveling all over Europe.

And saying that LP has broken your heart because you wasn’t happy with one M&G is a bit drama queen-ish, you ask me… Cheer up.

So sorry to hear that, and no one should push you around…I would have just been happy to see Mike:)

You are totally ungrateful of the opportunity you got.

This outrages me.

You want a refund for your LPU account? This is a joke right? And i doubt you’ll get another meet & greet again if you’re going to complain about like this. I can’t believe the way you’re acting, your profile says your 28, act like it. You got a chance to meet Linkin Park, a dream of thousands. You got to fulfill that dream. Its probably better off that you don’t go to your next LP show if you’re going to act like this after you met them.

It was rushed, yes. Bad luck. It was a festival, you take the chance when its a festival M&G. Others seemed to have accepted the situation and got over it, they still appreciated meeting them.

I didn’t get an invite to M&G in Moscow - but I saw photos from there.
Honestly I’m kinda relieved I spent all that time in the crows listening to The Rasmus rather than waiting to get an autograph. LPU membership saved me a little money on tickets (little cheaper in Russia) – but other than that M&G shouldn’t be the main reason to join.
