We could design our own LPU flag. We could pitch in using paypal to an account, we all come up with ideas, put our names on it, designs, some linkin park logos and LPU 11 LOGO

Then hold it up at the show and or get LP to sign it and we sign it and give it to them at the summit, that is possible too, might be cool. Letters would be cool too, definitely a puzzle though we will all be in different areas at the show lol
We could get a stadium sized flag from the site Trinity greatfully posted. See who is coming from what country and/or state and see if we can put those individual flags on the one big flag. Then add the Lpu 11 logo and intentaional summit camden, nj. Then everyone at the summit can sign the flag.
Then whoever is in the pit can unfurl it sometime during the show. Then maybe see if anyone from the summit is in the reserved seats and they can hold signs up that make a message.
A little complicated but might work.
Or we can go with the smaller flag idea, have everyone sign it, and then present it to LP.
Just throwing some ideas out there.

I saw the design my own flag website last night when I was researching. It is kinda expensive! But definitely doable if we all pitch in. I like the idea of posting all the flags onto one big flag but that might be a really tedious process. I think we should present it to LP during the M&G and have them put it onstage, on Mike’s keyboard or they sometimes put it on the boxes that they stand on, to display to everyone that the LPU is truly grateful to LP and to show how awesome we are lol Since it is an international Summit, the idea of an American flag is starting to grow on me since this is only the 2nd Summit out of 6 to take place in the US. I could just easily buy an American flag then write on it or somehow iron a design onto it. I’ll start drawing up designs and then post them within a couple of days and see what you guys think.
Ok, so I made a rough draft of a flag that centered around the International Summit theme in Photoshop. Here is what I came up with: http://i48.tinypic.com/2iqb8d3.jpg So what do you guys think? It is just a rough draft so nothing too special but a start I guess. I also used a Linkin Park font for the text. So for a recap we have the text left of the stars, the text on the bottom center, a LP logo on the bottom left, and a LPU 11 logo on the bottom right. This flag can easily be done with a sharpie marker.

As far as what I’m bringing, I’m just taking my LPU11 flag and a couple silver sharpies with me (for my personal collection). It’ll make me feel like I’m back in high school getting kids to sign my yearbook. Though, I’m kind of on the fence about it. I made a flag for last year’s show in Boston, and security confiscated it.
Anyone know where I might find rules/regulations for the venue?
I think we could use the make your own flag site, pitch in and its not that expensive, have a cool design, bring it to the summit with us all signing it and yeah I think LP would put it on the stage with them for sure, Im sure we can find a cheaper one, let me look around and see about designing as well, see what we can come up with.

Yes! I think it would be an amazing idea if we just get an awesome flag and a cool design, all us sign it. That is great. We should definetley consider doing this.
@J_Callahan and @Trinity: Yeah I think it would be better if we get it professionally done somewhere. Getting all the signatures is an excellent idea as it really shows how much of a community the LPU is. Plus I have no artistic ability whatsoever so I kinda don’t want to make one since it will definitely come out bad lol I’m also planning on asking LP (specifically Mike) if I can play guitar on Faint and finally live my dream. Watching someone play Faint on guitar on stage back during the Meteora Tour in 2004 is the reason why I started playing guitar and has been something that I want to do more than anything else in the world.
I will work on the flag this weekend, post some ideas and see what we think, I think we can get it designed, im good at computers, we put our heads together and get some cool designs together, sign it, and it would be awesome.

Alright, if we’re going with the flag idea there is a place a few blocks from where i work that specializes in making custom flags/ banners. They have table banners that would be a perfect size to hang on the keyboard or anywhere. The size is roughly 2.5 ft x 3/4 ft. The material they use is roughly what was used for the lpu plus pass flag.
I can easily get to the place and it’ll, in my opinion, be better cause at least someone can see the design process.
So let me know what you think. Any other suggestions?

Yeah I will come up with something tomorrow when I am free and post it, then we can add some concepts, and see what we can do.
So I had the opportunity yesterday to stop by ace banner on my break. It looks like they do exceptional work.
They weren’t able to give me a quote since we don’t really have anything to work with.
Also, they won’t print on an American Flag. That’s understandable though. They suggest to keep the colors simple, with too much going on it makes it harder to read.
So i guess it comes down to, do we still want to go through with this and maybe on a different post see who really wants to go with this idea. Plus we can use the new post to get a “vote” on color and such.
What about something like this? Yea I will make another post and we can work on it.
