Linkin Park Music Videos

my fav are: In The End,
Burning In The Skies, From the Inside, What I’ve Done. in my opinion these videos show some of the problems occurring in the world. These videos are global in nature. these videos unite us
what about Mr. Hahn - he is great genius! Imagine what would happen if he captured the world [lol]

So you are talking about the official, animated video ?
You’re right, the graphics is so epic … better than some nowadays video games. But I don’t get the idea behind it … where is the link to the lyrics ?

Numb, it was like me in teenage days, i had no friends at school, teachers hated me, never got support from parents, they only wanted me to fail.

when you buy transformers 2 on bluray, new divide is in the special features in hd and its amazingly awesome!

[quote=LinkinParkForever275]My favourite is definitly Crawling.
I just love the blue crystall ice background and the way the music matches to the video!

in my opinion, the Meteora Era Videos were the best, i dunno i just feel like… those times were the best of LP in all the ways, it doesn’t mean that their new videos are bad, because they’re not, but that’s just my opinion

my favs… From The Inside, Crawling, LOATR and The Catalyst

+1

Faint is my fav.

And Bleed It Out…is just shit. So boring.

Not really shit, the idea isn’t that bad, but it’s boring, yes [lol]

It’s about time for LP to release their whole video catalogue on DVD.

Faint is the best LP video

:frowning: I hope you are better now

I completely agree with you! It’s also my favourite video and the lyrics do fit it perfectly. [/quote]

I skip the general part about LP music videos now, and gonna tell you my opinion about the LOATR video [lol]. Why do you think the lyrics do fit to the video ? I mean … what does LP flying around in space have to do with leaving someone, caused by death ? Maybe my description and view of the lyrics is too superficial at this point, but that’s the main part I see in the lyrics.[/quote]

I guess I feel the lyrics differently from you Jats. I’ve tried to put it into words, but I couldn’t find a way to explain it. But when I watch the video, the images simply fit with my feelings and thoughts. [smile]

[quote=Isabelle-aka-chelseasw3]I usually skip videos because they can’t give back the ideas developped in the lyrics. Just like for books when they are adapted for the cinema. You can be very disappointed by the interpretation by a film director especially when it comes to one of your favourite books. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the same story for songs and videos.
There’s only one exception to this rule. It’s for “What I’ve Done” because the video deals with a topic which is VERY DEAR to the LP guys. It’s more like a political and sociological message which is carried through the images, what we’ve been responsible for for ages. Every time I watch this vid, I tend to forget the lyrics and only see the harshness of the underlying statement.[/quote]

Although I couldn’t agree more when it comes to books being adapted (I’m so tired of seing wonderful books being multilated for the big screen), I don’t have the same problem with music videos. It’s true that very often the videos don’t go along with my own interpretation of the songs, but I don’t feel that ‘possessive’ about songs as I do about books - my ‘relationship’ with them is different, I guess. [smile]

Funny thing is that exactly with ‘What I’ve Done’ it bothers me that, as I see it, lyrics to do suit the images. For how could we ever forgive ourselves for all the awful things human race has done so far? [cry]

I usually don’t like musicvideos, because they sometimes ruin a song for me ^^ But LP musicvideos don’t. My favorite one is LOATR especially if you interpret the scenes and connect them to the lyrics. I also really like Numb, FTI and What I’ve Done. The worst one is Bleed it Out in my opinion. It’s pretty boring with them just standing up there on stage and some camera moves…

Well, the way how any listener of a song interpretates it, is always different and I guess that’s what LP are about to gain with every song. Of course there are some, that tell a story of theirselfes or deal with problems of a whole society like the mankind itself, but I think most of the songs are interpretable differently.
If there was something in your life, you can compare to a song, I guess that’s the (only) way you understand the song. So that might be the reason why everyone sees the point with a different view and that should be my reason to, why I think that the lyrics don’t really fit to the video.

Yes! :3 Crawling has always been my favorite, but I think it’s not anymore…xD IDK! I am not too big on the papercut video :`(. Yes. I like it

My fav music video is Leave Out All The Rest, Crawling & Numb. Sorry can’t just choose one!
