Linkin Park Lip Sync!?!?!

I am pretty sure your hearing the Echo after the final verse of the song LP Does not Lip Sync but now most of the band besides rob sing on back up.

This. ^

But really, let’s all be intelligent, inquisitive people. Don’t jump to conclusions or assume things, buddy. Especially if you’re as ‘loyal’ as you say you are.

So, as I really do hope you see by now, LP does not lip sync, never have and I really believe never will. Plus, a “VERY loyal” fan would stick with them even if they did lip sync and not leave before the encore. That’s madness! Like everyone else said, byyyyeeee

LOL. I’m sorry but I can’t help but laugh at this. Like almost everyone above me said, LP don’t lip-sync. They just use various effects on their mics, everyone knows that!

You talking about Chester lip sync???.. sorry for my words… but you dont deserve to be on this website…

That wasn’t the part where i saw it. The friend I was with saw it too. He was walking off stage to my left and everyone around us saw it.

I’m not here to get into an argument with a bunch of people I don’t know. I’m just spreading the word of what I saw.

Whether you believe it or not I, and others, know what we saw.

That YouTube video Lamrobot linked shows their full performance of LGM in Tinley Park; so, could you point out where you did see it ? 'cause I just watched it, and it clearly shows Chester had already finished the song before he even started walking off stage. What you guys heard was most probably a reverb/echo effect.

Intelligence and inquisitivness is overrated. All fun discussions are based on innuendos, allusions and half-disguised affronts.

Aw nope. No lip sync at all. Nope, sorry fellow.

Maybe you were having a dream… and THINK it really happened… Maybe you werent even there… lmao

It was still without a doubt a KICKASS SHOW!!![smile]

Dude, overreaction. Tinley Park show rocked!

Yeah I feel bad for you that you made such a dumb mistake to give up on the concert and now maybe LP in general. If you have been to any concert ever, you see and can hear in the live shows, the major difference that is there live voices signing the songs, chesters voice straining, mike not as strong and clear, they use voice over, and echos, use the album sounds lightly as backing vocals or for bridges and all this is very normal for every great band. To think that LP lip syncs at all just shows that you have never been to a LP show or know how they sound live vs studio. It is very easy at a show to know when voice overs, echos or album choruses are being used vs chester and mike signing or screaming live. To put milli vanilli in there just sounds ridiculous. Chester can not be expected to scream every entire piece every single night but he does almost every single one any ways, and they have electronic help, and echos in place, but 95 percent of the screams and sounds that come from chester are coming from chester live on stage as well as mike. LP is one of the best live bands ever, and put on one of the best live shows ever. You should really see some more shows, listen to live versions vs studio versions and you will be able to see the difference and hear what LP sounds like live and that it is no where near perfect and as good as studio quality, hence, they are not lip syncing or they would have album quality sound in the live shows, which they by far do not.

I was at the Tinley park show front row in the pit… No such thing happened that night or EVER

Chester puts on 100% & it’s just like what everyone said… Echoes, microphone effects, etc

They are amazing live & ever since the first time I saw them live in 2004 I was hooked. Watching them live helped me to love them even more.

Why you decided to sit down & even leave during the encore we won’t understand… You put your forum post on here so don’t expect not to hear what we all have to say.

Was this your first Linkin Park show just out of curiosity?

Irene

It was the delay effect/ echo on his microphone.

I guess you literally GOT LOST IN THE ECHO.

[quote=espltd3441][quote=Chelsey LPU]Like everyone’s said they use heavy effects and when there are multiple parts going on at once it’s normal for bands to use background voicing (ex. when in the studio they layered voices of possibly the same band member over the same part of the song).

This by no means puts them at an Ashlee Simpson level…and in all fairness lots of musicians use lip syncing or the type where the chorus will go on without them singing (as they catch their breath) but when they come back in, they are louder than the recording version so it sounds like background voices. It happens and honestly I don’t blame them for it. Some are a whole new level of terrible lip syncing but sometimes it has to be done.
