Linkin Park Haters

I am about to rant so brace yourself lol. Okay before I am not saying this to make anybody mad and i apologize if this offends you. I know everybody has there own opinion. I read the comments on YouTube of the newer music. I see it over and over again “Man LP sucks now, what happened”. I am so sick of hearing wheres the old LP. I mean really? Give me another reason why you don’t like them. If LP stayed the same i GUARANTEE you they wouldn’t be here today. No matter how much you say it if they stayed the same everybody would have gotten bored and they loose popularity (which is why they change and so BIG now!). If you cant except them changing well don’t be so stubborn and just go with or shut up about it. GIVE ME ANOTHER REASON TO HATE ON THEM THAN "ITS SUCKS THE OLD LP WAS BETTER! All aboard the “I hate everything that doesn’t sound like 10 years ago”, choo-choo mother f****!

I totally agree. Every time I read those comments I scream at the computer “if it was the same thing over and over you still wouldn’t be happy” Mike said it best “Everybody wants the next thing to be just like the first. And I’m not a robot, I’m not a monkey…” I love that song, When They Come for Me.

Seems like you don’t know rule #1 on the internet: Don’t read the comments!!!

The LPU’s seen it’s share of negativity over the years, too. A lot of the people that first joined only renewed year after year because of the people and the interaction on the message boards, or the chat room.

The LPU has seen its share of trolls in the past, too. I won’t name names, but anybody from >LPUX kknows who I’m referring to.

Some have even gone as far as to create groups like this. http://atshatersofficial.wordpress.com/

Eggsackly! Most bands usually end up with a different sound then how they started. It’s called growth. haha… With that said I have loved every album… Well not a big fan of the one with Jay-Z just because I don’t really care for the dude, but still wasn’t a horrible CD. People just don’t listen to the music, they only hear it. I will always be a fan no matter what.

I do not regret that they are changed)) This should have happened one way or another.

But I like THP, somehow to me this album is reminiscent of the good old days, and plus to it all, Mike walking in the cap) It’s cool, I do it speaks that they are all still a rock star, their mother.

I think haters should think for a moment, it is music and it never stays the same. It evolves and people working with it will always love to be creative. Well that sometimes might not be successful enough please those “HIGHLY OVERREACTING FANS” who bash at LP for their recent songs but in reality many of them are just “LISTENERS” and have HT & Meteora music in their mind (which we also have) but they go to sick level and act like mad in YouTube and other places !!!

Well in my opinion LP will not care about it because it is temporary and neither we should react in the same as they do. Then there will be no difference between us and them

I agree with you. Too often I hear people call LP “sellouts” and things like that. When I went to their show in Vegas in January I was wearing LP gear and a guy stopped me just to say “didn’t they sellout?” This was craaaazy to me. No they have not sold out! I don’t think they would be successful if they made 6 albums that all had the exact same sound and exact same feel as HT and Meteora. I feel like they have started making songs that discuss larger issues, they have grown and matured and their music reflects that for the most part. I love everything they have come out with so far and can’t wait to see what The Hunting Party sounds like.

I did a pretty extensive book project on Mike Shinoda as a designer and artist and after reading and listening to what he had to say about the Glorious Excess series he did you can feel the purpose behind the band in their music.

Haters gon hate as they say but I am definitely not one of them.

Every time I see or hear a comment along the lines of wanting the old LP, I just think of When They Come For Me and the massive screw you it is to them. Their loss if they can’t enjoy the amazing work LP has produced.

I also agree with you… They’re just adult enough Now in order to write better serious songs, Not be the same as in youth. They are now a family, children, and they should be an example for their children.
That is what they are now, that’s their true essence)) They write music that they want neither shall they repeated.

youtube comments are pretty much immature and there will always be a bunch of people there to criticise LP but at some point, they just don’t understand or even consider the music writer’s point of view i guess?
even if they did love their old stuff, they don’t go through “the songs” and i feel like it’s a disrespect of the musicians’ desires.
it’s sad because yes fans are very important but it’s still lp’s songs, it’s lp’s universe, it’s lp’s choices and yeah, some comments are interesting because there’s some analysis of the actual songs but people who are just there to write “i don’t like it they suck” with no argument, just because they don’t like the new style or just to be mean, they should leave, basically.

it’s the same for any band/artist anyway, i don’t like how some people defend their favourite artists and just bash the others the way they refuse people to treat their fave bands.

Lol, MarioLPU… his rants were truly memorable since at least LPU8. But they could not cause too much harm, because you could not understand them anyway.

LP are one of the few bands that make me really excited for their new albums because I do not know what to expect. So far, I genuinely like all of their albums.

With the ‘old LP’ comments, it just gets boring. ‘Old LP’ was a long time ago now, time to get over it.

I can’t understand it.
Who wants to hear the same sound on every album?
They are getting older and become a new style but I think every album is great.
I love everyone.

Who don’t like to hear the “new” Linkin Park should stop to listen to them and say nothing.

I agree with you… only the true fans willing to follow the group, which they have not released an album.
For example I. For some reason I love all their albums. Without a twinge of conscience or something else. Ready to listen to them forever. And reread lyrics…

One thing I’ve always loved about this band is they are not afraid to embrace change. Society as a whole has come to expect bands or artists to retain the same sound their entire career, because that’s the sound they’re known for.

In order to maintain a long career, especially in the music business, you have to always look to push boundaries outside of the first album that made your name or band what it is. Mike said it best once, “Once you’ve got a theory of how the thing works, everybody wants the next thing to be just like the first.”

There are some bands I just can’t listen to anymore, bands that insist on maintaining the same sound, and try to live off of the success of their original sound. Radio especially loves to eat that stuff up, and I’m finding it harder to even listen to our local stations, because every song they play sounds the same as the last song they played by the same artist, and so on and so forth.

I don’t even pay any mind to those people anymore. I had a co worker who said they sucked now and she wished they still made music like the HT album. Honestly, I think any good band would want to grow and evolve into a better band that made music they felt 100% okay with. Most stuff out there today is stuff thats been thrown together in a month and put out on the radio only to make money for the artist and the record company. There’s no content or depth or meanings in most songs now a days. But, like I said, I just ignore them now.

Let em be… haters will always hate
