I hope for the CD-single, the cover does not come with the white frame.
I would assumed the non-gatefold version was the 1st press as this one seems a lot harder to find? + from a record label point of view it would make sense to produce a low cost vinyl in non-gatefold form rather than a gatefold edition first?

As for the PREMIUM DELUXE BOX SET, I think the idea is to look at this as a piece of art rather than a couple of CD’s and a snow globe. $500 US for a limited edition interactive 3D sculpture based on the artwork of a #1 Linkin Park album is not a bad price when you think of it that way. With only 500 in the world, don’t lie…you would feel pretty good owning it.
I think your right Matt about the Non-Gatefold being the 1st press. As we have talked about in the past it is made with “lighter” material than the Gatefold version and could have indeed been a test run issued to people in the Music Biz. I’m surprised another version is coming out, wouldn’t this make it the 4th issue technically? (Non-Gatefold, Gatefold, RSD, and this new one).

About the “Deluxe Edition”, I’m not much of a fan of remixes, and well I thought the statue looked cool, but the idea of marketing so limited for a price of $500 which as mentioned is a persons monthly salary or a good chunk of there money. I would rather battle it our an Original EP or something xD. I don’t think they will sell out, even if its limited to 500. They’ll go down in price, Warner is just trying to pocket in money from LP seeing as they are a pretty big band. Hell the ATS Deluxe Editions went for about $150 if I remember correctly and I seen them on eBay go for no more than $70.00, even one with a BIN price of a whopping $30!

Completely agree with what you have said about the tid-bits vs mass production of the Vinyl. That Non-Gatefold is definitely incredibly hard to come by, one of the very last items I added to my collection might I add. I’m keeping some vinyl of course because I love em, thats why i haven’t listed as many of eBay :stuck_out_tongue:

yesasia offers a version of Recharged with ALTNC live from Summer Sonic

Do you have a link? Because all I can find there is the normal 14 track Recharged. It doesn’t say anything about ALTNC live from SS

I think the non-gatefold is indeed the first press, having had my hands on both I would say that gatefold press is of a significantly better quality (cardboard and vinyl itself) and would also cost much more to produce in small quantities rather than en-masse. Nobody can answer for sure but it makes sense to me… as for the supposed 4th press, it wouldn’t surprise me if they are getting rid of leftover RSD vinyls that were pressed and do not have OSC counterparts.

There are bound to be a surpluss of the Hybrid Theory vinyl pressed as it must have cost a bomb to commission the press of just 3000 copies for RSD in the first place. To press say 3000 more wouldn’t cost that much over the commissioning fee, if you understand my logic.

I read somewhere about the Live track being the Bonus track from Japan, not sure where but here’s something from CDJapan

EDIT: Through Google Translate it says “A Light That Never Comes (Rick Rubin Reboot)” as track 14.

Yeah it is a okay cover  but I don’t like “SINGLE CD (2 SONGS) STANDARD” text :stuck_out_tongue: Nothing to do about that, it must be a design guide/manual…

The back of the single looks awesome itself

Does anyone have a spare LPU12 laminate for sale? I don’t need the membership.

seems like Meteora vinyl will be repressed and released on the next month:
