There currently is not a chatroom. The chat was a major selling point in the height of its popularity, in my opinion, but it really died down before it’s temporary removal. As was the forum, which also had died down, but it seems to be picking up quite well again now, although it’s free now, so that’s irrelevant.
The chats with the band members were also a big reason to join, but there haven’t been very many lately, so I hope those return as soon as possible.
Personally, I like the merchandise and the CD the most, and I would probably renew each year for those things alone (which is why I delayed in renewing for LPUX originally).
If you do attend concerts, the pre-sale and meet & greets are also a great opportunity. Early access into the concert was also a nice addition, but that seems to be gone for the moment.
There’s also the LPUTV, which I forgot to mention earlier, which is basically more LPTV, but more of it exclusively for LPU members. In the past, LPU members also got exclusive downloads to songs like Lockjaw, an acoustic version of Morning After, and Guilty All the Same before everyone else.
There’s also monthly giveaways, which I forgot to mention earlier as well, mainly because for some reason, LPU16 hasn’t had any yet. I believe the last one they had was the one I won.
There also used to be ringtones and wallpapers available, but those stopped with LPUX, which kinda just goes along with the “LPU Member Title” I guess (why else would you want an LPU wallpaper if you aren’t an LPU member).
Some people just want to physically support the fanclub, or have the actual media. I believe all profits made by the LPU go back into the LPU, if I remember correctly

The LPU used to have a lot more a few years ago and it was actually active. For me, the last couple of years, the reason I renew is basically the package (with the physical cd).

LOL, most of the stuff is unnecessary really. But you do get to see vaguely accurate stats for members over a given time period. I’m sitting in second place for likes received and for replies. At one point I was on par with Pat but she somehow made 3k posts without me noticing

I suspect it is in all the game threads that I’ve muted. I guess spammer of the year could go to me as I’ve been here less than 3 years and I’ve breached the 10k post mark.
