to Tell you the truth, i am not digging the New LP Recharge song at all"a light that never comes",part of what i heard sounds nothing Like LP and too Pop-ish… idk its probably just me but i can’t seem to like it. and well i always liked anything LP has done and all, till now. to tell you the truth i just hope that the new LP album does not sound like that at all, and im glad this is just a collaboration, but i definitely appreciate what they are doing with LP Recharge and the game seems pretty awesome, the Song its a great.but i guess the genre is what i don’t like, and i might end up liking it in time, who knows. i am a big fan of metal/industrial. No lady gaga no spice girls etc etc…so yeah i guess i’m just closed minded-ish lol…well that’s just my opinion. im a hard core LP fan and i always applaud anything this guys do specially when they do it to help others in need! so ill definitely be supporting
yeah, everyone got their own favorite genre of music
in my opinion, a light that never comes is a new experience & i agree with you, sounds nothing like LP, because the song has industrial elements too, but still catchy for me to hear
I do like the song. But it’s not like a huge favorite of mine. It did grew on me though. Maybe it’ll grow on you as well!
I love the game as well!!
I think everybody are playing the game right now, leaving the forum cold and empty…
to be honest with everyone, when Chester and Mike announced their collaboration with Steve, I’ve be quite cautiously surprised and a bit reserved on the new song.
but after listened to the new songs, I’ve found all 3 of the artist’s flair in it, makes it very unique and fresh…

can’t argue with that, the more i hear it the catchier it gets

the Game is great indeed!, and my other opinion is that LP made the song “catchy” in purpose, not just so people will play the game and there fore more people( non LP fans or Metal so to speak lovers) make themselves aware or the game and so on…

lol no lie. this place looks pretty empty… to tell you the truth i had never even hear of steve before, so that’s that. what i mean is that making this kind of collaborations with such different genre artists opens up the doors for both bands, (fame) . im not saying i now like Steve but i bet many other LP fans now do and vise versa ,also it seems like its one of those fun collaborations projects for the band, so i guess its a win win for them. im happy as long as they continue putting their nu metal/heavy sound …etc twist to LPs music…
I have to confess, that I agree, haha. I’m not very related to the song. It doesn’t sound bad or something. But it don’t thrill me. It sound to me a bit like an easy listening pop song. And therefor I’m also glad that it’s “only” the result of the colab with Steve Aoki. I hope, that the new LP album is going to sound more rock style and more edgy.
I have to disagree with you guys. I actually love the new song!! What I love the most about it is that Mike and the rest of LP kept true to themselves and did things their way. They just went with it and had fun. It shows in the song and in their live performance in Tokyo. I love LP for that reason, because they’re not afraid to do different things. They would rather stay true to themselves than make the same kind of music over and over again.
My first post here since year ago.
and i have to say this song sucks.
I like both metal and electronic music but this collab is just rubbish. It’s repetitive and Chester sounds like a typical popstar.
I don’t like the chorus at all but the rest of the song is okay.
I agree! Whatever they do, they seem to stay true to themselves, which is the most important thing. (:

Im currently listening to Recharged. At points I feel like im listening to Skrillex. It really bothers me to see my favorite band drift into a pop/dubstep type style. I really hope there next real album will have some songs to mosh to and headbang to. I want to hear somethings heavy like QWERTY and something exciting like POA
