HEY! YOU! What are you up to right now! (Part 3)

It was 2001 and no idea how it was recorded.
However, it was great to see the guys. But I wonder where Brad and Rob were that time. Maybe they gave up - 2 more small screenes would make the concert impossible to watch.

So guys, be kind and safe. But donā€™t be kind of safe. As Dave said, didnā€™t he?

Gooood morning! (although, itā€™s technically after noon here, so good afternoon!)

The snowā€™s melting again, and Iā€™m doing my daily Sudoku puzzle. I donā€™t know what Iā€™m going to do today yetā€¦and I donā€™t like that.

Morning guys! How is everyone coping?

@HakManLP Howā€™s uni? Iā€™ve given up on mine. Online classes suck. We are also debating on sending an email out to our course leader to demand a reduction in fees since this whole semester is basically wasted and thatā€™s not what we paid for.

@anna834 Howā€™s life over there? Iā€™d love to have an escape like you do every day.

@theearlywalker Still going strong?

OT: Itā€™s day 3 of lockdown for us and it already feels like an eternity. Weā€™re almost done building the first of 3 lego sets we have, Iā€™ve been ignoring uni since it is pointless for me right now and Iā€™m trying not to lose my mind.
I am however going out today, I have to meet with my 2 team leaders and take their sets of keys of work. Apparently senior managers have to keep all the sets till we re-open for safety reasons. It is a good excuse to have a stroll in the park after maybe, depends how busy itā€™ll be.

Today is the day when I originally was expected to get back to work. But the lockdown got deeper and schools are planned to be locked till Easter (I think itā€™s an optimistic idea).
Kids receive their homework by e-mail or through a kind of learning platform. Iā€™m aware itā€™s not really perfect now but we havenā€™t come across such a situation before. Itā€™s just a kind of revolution in eductaion.
Parents who have to stay at home and have kids aged up to 8 years are entitled to get a benefit of 80 percent of their wages.
Iā€™d rather work from home but itā€™s impossible because my company offers tools (laptop, hardware, printerā€¦) to the chosen only (sales representaives and managers). On the other hand, itā€™s not welcomed that Iā€™m not in my workplace now because everybody works as usually. Probably someone whoā€™s expected to replace me must stay there till midnight to get all the things done.

As for now Poland has 1085 people who have been confirmed to have the virus. 15 people died. I know it doesnā€™t sound bad in comparison to Italy, Spain or Germany.
But itā€™s been reported by some doctors and some diseased that the statistics presented officially are not complete. They donā€™t contain people who died at home waiting for tests to be done. Also not everyone can have the test done. They chose who should be tested and who shouldnā€™t.

As far as my state of mind is concerned, I went through the time of anger. Now Iā€™m on the level of apathy or half-acceptance as I have no impact on whatā€™s going on all around.
I go out everyday (necessity to buy something on one hand, necessity to breath fresh air and move a bit on the other).
My mom (almost 83) gets on my nerves because she doesnā€™t care of herself.
My kid gets on my nervesā€¦ but a little bit less than a few days ago.

No idea why Iā€™m writing the above but itā€™s also a kind of ā€˜entertainmentā€™ā€¦

Hugs to allā€¦

:sunny::sunny: hey family :sunny::sunny: yeah, itā€™s a very uncommon situation @anomalia and I agree- it seems to last way longer than we all have expected - I went through some phases too- from feeling great getting so much time gifted over to the shock after slowly realizing the situation over to be worried and feeling helpless, anger and back but this lead me nowhere than becoming sad and kinda desperate ā€¦ thanx for sharing your thoughts- I can very much relate to them :hugs::muscle:t2::yellow_heart: hang in there ā€¦

so yeah @evooba- since the only way out is trough- I take it one step at a time, doing my best to stay strong :muscle:t2: :muscle:t2::muscle:t2::hugs::yellow_heart: and positive while trying to fill my hours doing the things I always postpone due to a lack of time, like the tax declaration- preparing my web site- sorting stuff out, clearing the garage, doing grocery for my parents and us - sleeping whenever I feel like and talking with friends and family online -

meanwhile I am working on my acceptance for the situation and to stay optimistic :upside_down_face: - and ofc Iā€™m praying a lot :pray:t2: this gives me power  For now get a big bonecrusher family, all of youā€‹:hugs: :hugs::hugs::hugs: sending you strength :muscle:t2::muscle:t2::muscle:t2::heart::yellow_heart::hugs: and the good thing is that we have the forums and each other

There will be a time after the virus and things will be different- right now solidarity seems to grow which is great- I pray that the scientists will find a treatment or vaccine as soon as possible- :pray:t2: and my biggest worry atm are the ignorant 10% of the society who still think the distance rules donā€™t fit for them - unfortunately my daughter and her peers are like thisā€¦ they ignore almost all the hygienic advices - and this leads to a permanent tension between her and me ā€¦ thatā€™s very hard to deal with :exploding_head:

:heart:Stay strong and healthy family :muscle:t2::yellow_heart:

Ot: laundry :basket:

Thank you. Iā€™m trying to keep optimistic. Like everyone Iā€™ve gone through stages of deep concern and anxiety, and then the opposite of stone cold denial and being blasĆ© about it. Now Iā€™m accepting the situation is what it is. Thereā€™s little we can do unless we work in medicine or key services other than stay at home and donā€™t spread anything to anyone. Itā€™s very easy to fall into a spiral of negativity and turn to bad habits because of the uncertainty and lack of control. Instead, trying to keep up laughter and good positive thoughts is going to help us all get through this. I agree with @framos1792 to limit your intake of news especially if you find it impacting on your mental wellness. Iā€™ll continue to spread some good vibes, but likewise itā€™s perfectly normal to feel worried and anyone who wants to share that for support please do :hugs:

Aww this is so cute! Can you still go outdoors for walks? Iā€™ve seen some good online videos of keeping active.

Can I just submit this? He basically stole the name anyway. Damn Mike! Yours was good, donā€™t worry about what other people say hun

This is great news!

Yes, thatā€™s a good topic given itā€™s 17th. Maybe we could discuss favourite videos from this album? Everybody here knows we both love Breaking The Habit by now! nothing can beat this song :metal:

@framos1792 Did I miss your story about the time you were away? Last time I ask. Wall of silence!

@Linkineli How are things going for you? I hope you are still getting out and studying with all your free time. Keep up the good work.

Day 3: Iā€™m been doing some gardening because I thought might as well plant some spinach, lettuce and flowers as the weather is warming up. Work wise a bit tricky getting used to working remotely all the time, I think some people start to come across worse on email than f2f. Soundtrack: Blink 182: Donā€™t Mean Anything.

The thing is I dont want to go out. I love my bed. And the food. I have already lost track of the day of the week. This lockdown is lovely.
We are allowed to be outside but not gather around. You can go to shops etc. They are open 24x7 now to reduce crowd. I buy stuff early in the morning to avoid day rush. The resturants are closed at the moment so I miss their tasty spicy foods. The day this lockdown is over, I will devour all my favourite dishes.

I hope you all are well and are having fun too. Stay safe.

Itā€™s actually nice outside right now, itā€™s supposed to rain shortly, though, so I took advantage and I brought my bike up from the cellar. If you recall, I wrapped it in plastic contractor bags for the winter - those were covered in cat pee. He even managed to scratch through one of them, too. Itā€™s supposed to be a somewhat nice day tomorrow, too, so thatā€™s when Iā€™ll ride, before the rain weā€™re supposed to receive over the weekend.

I hope youā€™re all doing well in quarantine!

And I so hope it will stay that way!
Canā€™t imagine beeing contained on this 50qm with just walking the dogs around the blocks! I love to escape into the woods, or the shore.
Stay strong my dear! I wish you a way to find the peace within and this sudden gift of endless time. :hugs:

I didnā€™t expect Rob and Brad, so I wasnā€™t disappointed, just enjoyed the other three.
Dave, freezing outside, cause he has no quite place in his home. :joy:
And the talk about mobile phones   that they just had a group phone! :exploding_head:  Its 2001! Mobiles were already totally common! I had one since 1999! Yeah, and was pregnant. Nice reminiscencing.

Tell me something new!

If it were that easy. They are tending dogs, used to run for hours. So even the walks and bike rides arenā€™t enough. :joy:

We are allowed outside but in our gardens OR for one form of exerciseā€¦ also saw two 8 month old black cats and my cat, (Squeaky) came round to have a look and sat near them. I nearly cried as he was such a good cat to them

Itā€™s the same here but itā€™s better to stay home if you donā€™t need to go out. I had to meet 2 colleagues to get their keys and managed to have a quick stroll in a nearby park. I am meeting my manager tomorrow to hand him those keys (and mine) so we might go for a walk as wellā€¦
The sad thing is that in the park I work at everyone has been complaining that people donā€™t keep their distance and they donā€™t mind others. If that doesnā€™t change they will shut the park. I definitely donā€™t want that to happen.
