HEY U?! YEAH U! What are you doing right now?

I just came home from another rather-unexpected grueling day shift at work, and my mom just offered to get me fast food, so I’m waiting on dinner, haha.

Sounds perfect- I know you enjoyed the food and I hope that your schedule gets back to normal soon, is this dayshift caused by the snow? @LP13413 and I hope today will be smoother for you @evooba - stay strong :muscle:t2: - have a good Saturday everybody :sunny::grin:

What caused me to work that shift is also in the grind my gears thread. Tomorrow’s going to be a long day, too. Four of us are all working at least 10 hours of overtime.

Read about it just now- it’s really annoying to have such an a**hole as mate… hope he gets what he deserves- what would they do without employees like you? They would definitely be lost… stay strong Andy @LP13413 :muscle:t2:

Im feeling pretty down today and just want to cry… So im trying to build a rocket out of cardboard boxes for the kids at school to play with. We are working about “space” the next 4 weeks. Hope my rocket will get nice, cause im really not that creative :see_no_evil: Lucky for me, my kids are all 4-5-6 years so they are happy easily with these kind of things lol

Temporarily doing completely nothing and it is a good thing to do

That is really nice to be doing. Everyone should do completely nothing from time to time. Even if it is just for 5 minutes or so, just sit and be THERE for a little while

I have been watching interviews with LP, Mike, Mike & Chester and all for the last 3 hours. Just watching what YouTube wanted me to watch basicly:grin: feeling much better now. And my rocket is in progress, it looks better thank i thought it would :joy: ill send a picture when its done. Now ima listen to LP and play a Sudoku or Tectonic puzzle, dunno which one yet.
Good night to all of you

When you said rockets on WA, I had something else in mind. This is more down to art rather than engineering. Besides, for me to help, I’d need more info (such as a pic and specs).

EDIT:

I don’t know anything about it, but if you’re not looking for something realistic looking you can use triangulation techniques to build it. So get a sheet of corrugated cardboard, draw out a rectangle of X by Y size, then draw two more of the same size (all joined on the long edge) and one with a smaller width. Fold them at the long edges and use the smaller one as a tab to close the body so you end up with a triangular prism as a body. Then make a triangle-base pyramid for the top cone and cut out some stabilisation fins.

Again, I have no idea what this rocket is supposed to be like, but I had something like this in mind. Sorry for the shoddiness of the model, it was a quick prototype.

And this is the construction technique I mentioned before in case it wasn’t clear.
