I don’t find myself in that many meetings, they’re usually for the society and I tag along with the leader. He usually warns me in advance as to what I’m about to walk into and to behave accordingly. 
He warns me not because he doesn’t like it, but because we usually communicate with non-engineers or people in the engineering field, but in a higher up position.
I was catching up with some friends recently (they graduated at the end of their bachelors while I’m doing a masters) and one of them said he missed my no BS approach to speaking.
