Great/funny moments during your LP concert

Because I’m curious and I’d like to read other experiences involving funny moments between the band members while they were playing a show.

For example, when I saw them during the Projekt Revo tour in '07, during the My Chem performance people in the pit had given Gerard a whole SLEW of feather boas which he and the rest of the band wore, and consequently, they molted all over the stage, which Mike [Shinoda] addressed later during LOATR.

Mike: It sounds to me…like you guys have had a long day of really good fucking music… Is this- are these feathers coming from the same boa…or are there more than one, are there- are there a few boas in the house? talking to a fan in the pit, holding a feather It’s the same one? This is like the world wide…boa… This thing is everywhere on stage right now. Whose boa is this? Is it yours? No, not do you want the feather… This guy has got his hand up in the air like ‘it was mine!’ like I’m gonna believe him… Well I don’t care who had the boa…I did a second ago, but I have a very short attention span… laughs Right now, I care who’s got some of these. holds up a lighter The little yellow ones or the little blue ones. The blue ones run on batteries and you plug them into the wall. These yellow ones are old school…

Chaz: a few seconds later Lighters are so fucking 1999 dude… I just blew a booger on my fucking microphone, dude…Trying to be all slick…shot at my fucking microphone…

gotta love LP. [biggrin]

Then there was a moment which one of my friends told me about involving Mike, Rob and his drum tech Stoner. lol.

Mike: Sometimes I look up at the drums, looking at Rob, and he’s like leaning over to do something else. And I can’t see him and I’m like, “Oh shit! Where’d Rob go? What happened? Did we lose our drummer? Are we going to have to do the rest of the show without Rob? Did he fall off the riser?” And then he pops back up and it’s like, a Christmas present!

Chester: laughs That’s really nice, Mike.

M: No, Rob’s still here, Rob’s still playing the show. …Rob, are you still gonna play the show with us? …He can’t even fucking hear me.

Ch: He’s too busy, he’s still fucking around.

M: HEY STONER! No, not Rob. His tech’s name is Stoner! Stop fucking around with Rob!

gun shot sound from Joe twice

M: Thank you, Joe >_> Hey, make some noise for Rob’s tech! What’s his name?!

Ch: What’s Rob’s tech’s name, everybody?!

crowd: STONER

Ch: That’s right!

M: to Rob [presumably] They though I was talking about you.

I remember one thing:

a fan put his cap on Chester’s head while he was in the crowd hahaha

he kept it about 5 minutes after it XD

XDD that’s pretty awesome too.

Chester saying we (the crowd) were a band’s wet dream and that when they were younger they dreamed about this moment. Hell yea!!! The Camden show was beyond epic and I’m so proud to be a part of that audience, rockin out like a mad woman lol. Best lp show I’ve been to hands down!

lol!! leave it to Chester to say something like that. [lol]

Thats why i love chester! Lol It was awesome though. We all went nuts after he said that lol

It doesn’t really count as it was a dream, but had to share after reading this thread…I dreamed that Mike and Chester started ballroom dancing between songs in a set. How awesomely weird, but beautiful would that be in real life!?

Chester forgetting the words to New Divide first of all, which the crowd didn’t help with because we pretty much forgot the words, plus we kinda thought he was messing. Chester then pointed out he screwed the song up and was like “you guys were supposed to cover it up.”

Later in the set he forgot the words to Leave Out All The Rest, which we all carried on singing regardless. When the song ended he said something like “I even had the words to that right here” and pointed at a piece of paper that had been sellotaped down. Then he pulled it up and jumped down into the crowd to hand the lyrics to a fan, commenting that “maybe we could sing it better next time.”

There are loads of moments from the two concerts I went to, way too many to remember all, ha ha. However, the best moment of all for me was when Rob threw his drumstick to me. Not into the crowd, actually came up to the edge of the stage at the end of the show, looked at me and threw the drumstick to me (the fact I caught it is a miracle in itself). The best thing to ever happen, aha.

My great moment:

In between songs in auburn hills, Chester went over to get a drink and started messing around with Phoenix and when he came back to the mic he was like “I just played a fucking awsome bass solo, but you couldn’t hear it” but fortunately even though it wasn’t coming through the speakers I was close enough to hear his messing around on Pheonix’s bass. Lol

lol Chester. Good job. OMG, Rob gave you, specifically you, a drumstick?! that is flippin AMAZING!! I love Rob a lot and I would just go beyond nuts if he picked me out of the crowd to throw me a drum stick! [lol]

Yep, I was just about to say this one too! that was great. hah

also at the detroit show in 2008, first of all, after numb i think, chester kept complimenting mike like “that is one talented man” and mike kept playing it off like “you’re just saying that because i got family in the house” and chester kept saying all of this stuff and mike was like “you’re just saying that because you lost a bet. we were playing poker.” and chester said “yeah, thats true, maybe that can take $20 off or something.”

and then before in pieces, this happened:

Chester: how many people out there have someone…who used to be special in their life that they wish would just get in a car rash and fuckin die already?
Mike: …that’s terrible, man.
Chester: yeah, it’s terrible, but, really. this one’s for someone who might be like that.

haha. good times. ;D

Yeah, it made it more special. You know how the guys come to the edge of the stage to say thanks etc, it was during that. Rob came over with two drumsticks and threw one to me. I couldn’t believe my luck. It sits on my bookshelf now. Pride of place.

Awe man, Rob threw me his drumstick too – unfortunately after I caught it about 10 big massive scary dudes pretty much snuffed me out and I lost it… :frowning:

Well, not lost it…but it was ripped from my hand…

OH – MY – GOD …
THAT is the GREATEST MOMENT EVER!! I broke a sweat just WATCHING it  holy smokes man, absolute 100% congrats – I envy you like no other!! Thanks for sharing!!!

Being spat on by Brad back in Prague in 2007 and standing right under Mike in Zürich in 2010 during In The End. I believe that what I (and others as well) have done would be considered serious manhandling under different circumstances. Otherwise, nothing that much interesting.

AHHH i was there !!! best thing ever !! I was barricade in the pit and the crowd wet CRAZY after chaz said that !! = ]
