Derek,
I just sent you a message about some questions I had about it. Do you know what time they open access, how long you have access and if you miss other bands performances because you are in the lounge? Just looking for more info before I sign up for it. Oh also I assume if I buy for my husband he has to be a member of LPU as well? He isnt as of now but if this works out for us he will be. lol!
Mel
Checking PM now.

Messenged you here
Hello! I have an extra ticket for the show since I’ll be volunteering for MFR. Anyone interested? Please, send me a PM msg.
EDIT: I have TWO tickets. Both GA PIT.
Driving up from central Kentucky to see LP at First Midwest! Super excited but also quite nervous as the reviews for the venue on Yelp are not great! Does anyone know if the main pavilion is on an incline or flat?
@Abbylab
I have never been there so I have no idea. Driving up as well. But if you find out I would love to know. What did you hear that was bad about the venue? Besides the crappy parking lot rules?

Long bathroom lines, flat pavilion (which would REALLY suck), expensive vendors, horrible parking, long traffic lines, poor sound…you name it and they said it! And some were good too. I paid for Premier parking - $30 - so that should at least get us closer to the venue entrance. Oh, the parking lot has no lighting??..

Oh that should be fun! Yay!!! What pavillion are you in? I have pit tickets so I just hope I can get close enough to see since I am only 5ft tall. Have been toying with the premier parking idea. Haven’t done it yet, but thinking I should. And I am getting conflicting info about how this event is done. So I think we all are going to look like a lot of lost bunnies running around, lol! As long as I get to see Mars and LP I will be fine, I don’t care about anyone else to be honest.

I’m in section 102, about 7 rows back on the Pit side. I’m too old for the Pit but I thought about it. Plus, I couldn’t stand being pushed, shoved and groped! I’m 5’2 which is why I’m hoping the pavilion is not flat. But as close as I’ll be, maybe it won’t matter.
Good luck in the pit though…I’m with you on the conflicting information. This whole “piqniq” is whack!
Was here a few weeks ago for the first time, for Nine Inch Nails. I was nervous too, since I hadn’t read anything good.
Well it’s pretty bad, but not a terrible as the reviews make it out to be, IMO. Overall the place has kind of a “dirty” feel to it, but I was in the upper section of the pavilion and not as close as where you’ll be. If you’re 7 rows back it should be pretty decent.
The pavilion isn’t flat, but it’s really not a very steep slope at all. So it can still be a bit hard to see if tall people are right in front of you. If that’s the case, just kinda move around as best you can to find a “window” or politely ask some ppl around you (if they’re not jerks) if they can move a bit.
Probably the worst part for me was getting out of there. I didn’t have VIP parking, but it took me literally 90 mins from getting in my car until I was on the highway. Show got done at 11, I was on the road at 12:30. Lame. But I didn’t get to the venue until quite late so I suspect my parking spot was pretty crappy. You might have better luck.
Also, remember where you park! Depending on where you end up, you might have a hard time finding it again since there aren’t really any landmarks. I saw ppl searching around for like 20-30 mins :\
Anyway, hope for the best and plan for the worst, I guess. Hope that helps! Best of luck, and most of all have fun! Just remember that you’re seeing LP perform
PWing47, how was NiN? They’re one of my favorite bands next to LP, saw them live with Janes Addiction a few years ago
I was at this venue recently & I came for fall out boy so I arrived at 7:45 with their set starting at 9:30! Guess what? I parked right by the exit & was out in no time.
I’ve been to this venue multiple times to see LP & it’s great every time. Don’t believe everything you read online, ESPECIALLY YELP. Listen to people you know that have been there.
no offense but how can you comment on a venue you haven’t actually been to …
As far as the pavilion, as any place that is sloped or flat … Of course sloped is better but If you’re behind a tall person it we’ll make it harder to see but I definitely think it’s better to be sloped.
In regards to early entry, it’s most likely the venue will open at 2:30 and LPU early entry will be 2. Yes, we will be waiting at the barricade until 9:30 when LP starts! it is going to be a long long day!
see you all August 29!

I’m too old for the pit too but I didn’t buy the tix my friend did and I left it in her hands. Bad decision! I am hoping for the best but expecting the worst as far as venue goes. I just hope i don’t have to go potty while there. I mean what does one do who is in the pit when nature calls? So fearful of that issue! lol! But you know it is what it is and we will make the best of it.
Irene, So if the doors open at 3pm that means LP early entry is 2:30p? And the lot opens at 2pm? How does one find out this info? I have been scouring the venue and live nation websites and can’t find anything! So frustrated with that! Anyway, if anyone finds out more please keep us newbies informed if u don’t mind. Thanks! Mel
Incredible, as always I just followed them for their first 5 shows this summer w/ Soundgarden (Vegas, twice at Red Rocks in Denver, Tinley Park, Detroit). Doing two more in TX, too. How was the NIN|JA show?
Haha yeah, my secret to not having to leave is basically just don’t drink anything, if you’re able Or just drink a bit of water throughout the day once you’re in the pit if you’re worried you’ll get too dehydrated. Getting rail helps a lot, since you have something to lean on!
Good luck to all, esp. the pit-goers; wish I could make it, but had to give up my two pit tickets due to a work commitment :’( Keeping an eye out for some pit tix for Detroit/Clarkston on the 30th, but doubt I’ll be able to find any w/o spending an arm and leg.

I am a big time water drinker so I am hoping that I just sweat it out cause there is no way I am going to let myself get dehydrated and I am know that unless I don’t sweat it out I will HAVE to go potty. Espc. being there for 10hrs or so. Eeekk!
I hope you find some tickets for DTW!
I’m taking UBER taxi I guess to get to the venue. Do you guys recommend something for me to go back to the hotel with the UBER taxi? Or still, is there anyone willing to give me a ride back? Thanks!
I won’t be at this show anymore unfortunately but hope everyone has a kickass time!!!
