I bought my tix yesterday for the Chula Vista show and I was hoping to get the first few rows of the first section but by the time I logged on, the best available was row N. I’m taking a 4 hour drive to get there, so row N is just not worth it, so I had to go for the pit. I’m not complaining here, I was just really hoping for seats. I’ve never been in the pit for any concert and for my first time to be at a Linkin Park show is pretty exciting! My point is, I’ve never been in the pit or to this venue so I was wondering if anyone knows how many people are in the pit? Just wanna know what I’m in for.
I’ll in the pit too. Be prepared to stand in one place for the entire day. There’s going to be a lot of people, and it’s going to be crowded, rowdy, and very tight. But it’s going to be so much fun once the show begins! You’ll have a blast! Wear comfy shoes & clothes and you’ll be fine.
See you there!
People really overreact on deciding whether if they want seats or to stand the whole time. If you’re seeing one of your favorite bands then none of that should matter as long as you’re seeing them. Plus, the people who bought seats will be standing up the whole time once linkin park comes on so it don’t make a difference. Just enjoy the show
The pit is a lot of fun! People over react because they hear all these stories about these crazy mosh pits. LP fans are a lot different than most they show a lot of respect for their fellow fans and usually look out for whomever is near them. Just go and have a great time!!
I for one have to argue against going in the pit. Yes, some people might be able to stand up all day. Basically, once you establish a spot in the pit, you won’t get that spot back if you decide to leave. Especially as it gets closer and closer to the time Linkin Park is coming on stage, the rude people will be trying to shove their way through you to get to the front, and if you value your spot you will be literally fighting back those drunk people who are trying to push their way through to get to a better spot.
However, do you plan on not going to the bathroom the entire time as well? You can forget about it. People won’t let you through just because you had to go to the bathroom - well, they’ll let you LEAVE, but there’s no way you’ll be able to get your original spot back or find your friends near the front - you can forget about it.
I have to be honest - being in a pit is a lot of fun, but at the same time, the main thing you really have to worry about is being caught behind really tall people…I don’t know how it is at LP concerts, but other shows I’ve been too, people really fight for the front, and of course, it gets sweaty! But don’t get me wrong, that’s where all the action is at, and you can feel all the energy, IT’S RAD! (:
question: I bought GA tickets for 107$ each. Do they have 2 different GA sections for this show as they have for the Home Depot, L.A., maybe I’m wrong, but that’s what I’ve heard. Some people paid 145$ and some 118$. Does anyone know how the venue will be set up?

There’s no different sections for GA. Everyone who paid the 145 got refunded the difference cause the venue made a mistake. It’s all one big pit.

I have to disagree with you, respectfully of course, though I suppose it depends on the people in the pit at the particular concert, but when I’ve gone with 2 or more friends and been there early, I’ve not had a problem getting back to the front of the pit…
They’ll probably let us in a few hours before any band plays and everyone usually finds a spot and eventually sits and waits… once the first band starts is when you don’t wanna leave but before that, leaving and returning, in my experience, has been relatively pain free. My major experience being at this particular venue.
To answer your original question, Alicia, the pit here is very large but is never much more than 2/3 full, however the 2/3 full part will be very sweaty/crowded/awesome and the “moshpit” will be a few rows back from the front as the people at the front are generally more interested in watching than moshing although I like to partake in a little of both :). The moshpit wont be too bad given the bands are mutemath, Incubus, and LP, but will get pretty hectic during certain songs… (megalomaniac, points of authority, papercut, faint, etc.) you get the idea.
I’d say there will be close to 1,000 people in the pit…
Hope this helps!!!

Dude, I forgot to say your “handle/screen-name” is awesome!
Haha, thanks! Started it in high school and it just sort of stuck with me throughout my years on the 'net.
