Well Chester does vocals, it’s more difficult for him to perform when he’s sick, because if he gets phlegmy he’s screwed.
Chester also has little children he has to worry about. I cannot imagine he has to stop hugging them because he hugged or shook hands with fans. Kids are vulnerable.
Would it make you feel better if I shook your hand?
I don’t know. I have shaken the bands hands many times at meet and greets, including Brad, which some people say is hard to get him to do. I guess maybe Chester was in a bad mood that night. Shaking hands is respectful to people but maybe he didn’t want to get sick…
I’ve just gotten fist bumps from the guys (2 bows from Brad) I really don’t mind it much though, its understandable in the situation there in they to avoid getting sick. But they are cool people overall.
Have any of you seen the LPTV episode where Chester had to record the Victimized while suffering from a beast of a cold, he did it, as we all know, but felt like shit, lets not put our idols in harm way hey? But I get you, most people dream of just being able to shake their hands.

When I met Chester, he actually shook MY hand. I honestly couldn’t believe it, especially when they told us we probably shouldn’t do it. He extended his hand and thanked me. It was one of the best moments of my life.
I don’t know… I never been in a m&g before. I think he was in a bad mood as Geki said. But that attitude was kinda rude… Or not? [confused]
I personally find it more disturbing, that the band was trying to talk to you (thread starter) and you could not even respond the slightest…
But how about you complain about their unresponsiveness towards your wishes…
well someone just told me, it also depends on your attitude.
Dont worry… Maybe he was in bad mood like Geki said.
If you saw the vid, he doesn’t look like he was in a bad mood, he wouldn’t have given a fist bump then, but he did and smile. Does that sound like someone in a bad mood?

I speak from experience, I’ve been to 5 meet and greets. The most recent one in Camden, I shook Chester’s hand, he hugged me, and I also gave him a note that I had written him (personal note) and I asked him if he would read it and he said ‘‘absolutely’’. It was awesome. He was nice at every meet and greet I have been to except for the one in Mansfield 2007, he seemed really pissy and annoyed at that one. I think it all depends on the mood of the band members. He did not say you have a disease, he just didn’t want to get sick. Maybe he was feeling sick as it was, and he didn’t want to catch anything from anyone so he didn’t shake hands. There are a million different reasons. Don’t take it to heart…
