Q: Best song you heard today?
A: Gravity - P Roach
@the_termin8r1 We so need to stop posting at the same time
@Gatsie I still can’t listen to Paramore… maybe it’s cause I don’t like female vocalists in general.
For me, it is Five Finger Death Punch. I really dig them right now. And they are tour right now with PRoach, pretty good duo!
^This^ lol
A: 6:23pm
Q: Name 3 things that are on your left and right right now.
A : Still Welcome…
Q : What time is where you are now? In my place at 10.19 pm
A:
Left: Speaker, headphones, CD player
Right: Speaker, bin, a Lego model
A: 16:35 (BST)
Q: Marmite, hate it or love it? I hate it.
A: Don’t know what marmite is?
Q: Would you rather live in a trailer in the woods or in a small apartment in a very bad and neighboorhood?
It’s a British invention. It’s just yeast extract that’s left over from the beer brewing process from what I know. It has the same texture as melted caramel/toffee and is really salty (bag of crisps salty, but to me it feels even saltire). It has the colour of runny dark chocolate.
Also, the person who took that pic is clearly an idiot, that much salt is quite bad for you. Most Brits have this stuff on their morning toast. Imagine it like soy sauce that has the texture of Nutella. It really is as salty as your average soy sauce. I think the Americans have banned it in the USA and the Aussies make Vegemite which is sort of a knock off though it’s similar.
A: Yes
Q: Fav fruit juice? For me it’s tomato juice. I once drank a whole 1L carton in one go.
To answer my own question; I’ve lived lived in both situations and must say that I still prefer the small house in the woods above the small flat in a bad neighborhood…
@the_termin8r1 Sounds rather disgusting, sorry.
A: I love all sorts of fruit juices. Especially exotic fruit juices, those are just to die for. Galia Melon Juice, Mangoestan Juice, Dragonfruit Juice, Papaya Juice, Coconut Juice… Oh, now I’m thirsty.
Q: Favorite foreign snack?
Peanutbutter is the best thing ever! Vegemite is just gross!
A: Tim Tams, Australian chocolate candy. Comes in many flavors and is damn expensive to order. Yorkies (British candy bar) are the next best thing.
Q: A traditional plate of your country? (Mousaka and/or souvlaki for Greece).
A: Old fashioned Dutch braising steak but I’m also a sucker for Indonesian gado-gado with shrimp or saté kambing [goat].
Q: Would you rather:
1] never be able to speak again
or
2] always have to say everything that is on your mind?
Exactly, I hate it as well
There’s a saying in the UK where “* subject of discussion * is like marmite” you either love it or hate it. There’s some that support marmite almost religiously. They have a Facebook page and everything.
As far as I remember Yorkies are just chocolate and nothing else though I haven’t had one in years.
We have Mousaka in Bulgaria as well, I really don’t like it. A dish from my country would probably be Tulumby (Don’t know the English spelling- I think they have them over in Turkey as well). For those that don’t know, they’re just relatively small chunks of fried dough that are soaked in syrup that has a suicidal amount of sugar in it (actually it’s just sugar and nothing else). Best dessert in the world though
From England I’d say Fish and Chips or a Pork Pie (12 years I’ve lived here and I’ve never tried one) or a full English breakfast
I’m more of a quiet type, only speak when I want/ need to, so I’ll go with A. Also, you said “speak”; I can always right, type, use mores code, binary code, hexadecimal, other codes, learn sign language, play charades With option B no part of you is private.
Q: Would you rather go to school/ college/ uni/ work in full nude for a whole week or have your entire browsing history on every device you’ve ever touched (regardless of whether you’ve cleared it or not) revealed to everybody who knows you and all of their friends?
@the_termin8r1 I don’t like Mousaka either to the point of throwing up. Not a fan of these syrup covered stuff at all, we have them too…
A: The 2nd one
Q: Would you rather be blind or deaf?
A: If I have to choose, I’d say blind. If I were deaf I couldn’t listen to music.
Q: Do you have a favorite stuffed animal? If so, which one?
Really? I’ve got frrends who’ll never let me live down some of the things I’ve seen lol.
My thinking exactly.
A: No, but I did have a blanket as a kid
Q: Are/ were your parents safety freaks? Mine are huge safety freaks, my granddad on the other hand wasn’t, that’s why every time I went somewhere with him I’d come home with a new cut or bruise or some other injury, but I’d have had miles more fun.
My parents are the sort of people who sent me to school with a coat in the summer when it was 20 degrees. Of course on those days I never wore the coat, I’d wear it until I rounded the corner of my street then I’d shove it into my bag lol .
A: Hmm… no, they’re not. They always worry when I’m out (especially when I was younger) and especially if they knew I was gonna be out for longer than usual. I honestly don’t get them sometimes. They let me travel the world on my own but they stay awake and watch TV and wait for me till I get home when I’m out with friends (and I’m not one of those kids that come home late, I always worry about catching the last metro so I’ve never gone home later than 12:30am, even at my age). Btw, the coat thing, moms code. Every single one does it. If your mom’s cold, you must wear a coat.
Q: Do you have siblings? If yes, are they older or younger than you?
At least you’re allowed out of your house on your own, the only time I’m allowed to get out on my own, it’s either to get to college or to buy myself a subway which is 5 mins away from my college. Though with that being said, there isn’t much to do in my area.
Lol, I was going to ask that exact question.
A: I have a sister who is 6 year younger than me and very annoying. It’s the classic case of the older sibling taking the heat for absolutely everything (hence why I spend quite literally 80% of my day in my bedroom). The funniest thing my parents say is that my sister is constantly bailing me out of trouble. What’s funny about that is that I wouldn’t be in trouble in the first place if it wasn’t for her.
Also, it’s because of her that we can’t go anywhere interesting, she is afraid of almost everything. She won’t stay inside a car for more than 60 mins (so we can’t go anywhere too far- it was a miracle that she managed to get all the way to Switzerland). And no, out family car is not some second hand Vauxhall Corsa. It’s a mk3 Citroen C5 (I’m not expecting anyone to know anything about it), but the bottom line is that it’s very big, very comfortable (enough to easily rival a luxury German salon which is twice as expensive), very quiet and reasonably fast so a 3 hour journey quite literally feels like an hour. Bottom line is, my sister is an 11 year old baby.
Aww come on, can’t be that bad It’s not like I go out all the time either. Once every second Saturday or so. I prefer being alone, melting away online and listening/playing music. I do miss the fun of the past 2 years though, I was living on my own and literally did whatever I felt like, from staying out till really late almost every day to sleeping how many hours I wanted… basically being free.
Can’t speak on the siblings thing since I am an only child but I always wanted an older brother. I got stuck with 6 older cousins though so I ain’t complaining. We’re very close (despite the huge age difference) and always do stuff together… they even dragged me along with them when I was still a kid. THAT made my parents worry lol.
I’m slowly running out of Qs btw
I’ve been chained down all of my life. I promise I’m not exaggerating, that’s why I’m so viciously territorial over my bedroom, it’s my one proper slice of freedom.
Also, (forgot to mention this in the other post), my parents seem to like to argue topics with me which they clearly know nothing about. For example, gaming, I’m a gamer of 10 years (And I’m not proud of it, it was a waste of time, so I’m planning to quit for good in the next couple of months), yet my parents still think they know more than me on the subject. About a year or so ago they wanted to buy my sister that dreadful Harry Potter wonderbook game, I told them that the game is riddled with problems and that it’s not as good as the adverts show, but for some reason they chose to argue with me that it wasn’t true due to the one article they read online (this happens to be super ironic as when I’m interested in getting something they always tell me to do my research).
So they had to pay an idiotic amount for the game and the additional book thing, and a PS eye (just an overpriced webcam, literally), and a move controller (like a Wii controller). They gave it to my sister (I think it was a b-day present), she loved it the first day, second day she still had fun, third day she was getting bored and the bugs that I had warned them about started appearing, on the fourth day she finished the game and you could tell that she didn’t like it (of course she wouldn’t admit it because she doesn’t admit to anything for some reason), so guess what my parents did? They went and bought her the second game and they ended up buying another identical book which was unneeded as the one book works universally for all of the games.
She finished the second game in the same amount of time and it was clear that she didn’t like it, it has now been a year and a couple of months since she last touched either game. And she’s only now saying that she doesn’t like them and when I told my parents that I’d warned them they act as if I hadn’t said anything or as if they were still right somehow.
My sister started her first day in high school today so I thought I’d give some advice and explain what it’s going to be like considering I’d finished my 4 years there about a year or so ago. And again my mum somehow thought that her imagined perception of the place was some how more accurate and correct than my 4 years of experience and so tells my sister to not listen to anything I say.
I just realized that throughout this post I’ve been a bit unfair, I keep saying ‘my parents’ , it’s actually more so my mum. My dad actually listens to me for 80% of the time where as my mum is 40-50%. I get the sense that both my mum and sister get some kind of self righteousness complex at times. I’d also like to say that my parents aren’t dicks all of the time, 75% of the time they’re great.
Either way, sorry for the mega post.
Q: Strangest gift somebody has given you?
