Last year November when LP came to South Africa, I bought an LPU membership for both my wife and me. The memberships were bought a couple of months apart. My LPU membership package arrived just before the show, but since my wife’s was bought later than mine, we waited patiently for it to arrive. We waited until about April before following it up, only to see that there was “a shipping error” on the orders page. I tried following up with ground(ctrl), but received no response. I sent Adam a Tweet, but he also didn’t respond. After a while, ground(ctrl) sent an email stating there was a problem with the address. However, this was exactly the same address I used for my membership package. I sent a reply asking why there was an issue with the address, but again, no response. I sent Adam a Tweet again, but again he also didn’t respond.
I am really disgusted by this. If it is such a major issue getting membership packages to South Africa, I seriously doubt I will renew our memberships again. Not only are we screwed by the import duties, now I have to struggle with this as well.
