Anyone from San Diego or Los Angeles?

I’ll be going to these two cities for the first time ever in July. I’ve only been on the East Coast when I’ve been to the States, so I am quite excited!

Do you have any recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants and other stuff you can do? I am already afraid that I’ll turn into a wacky tourist taking pictures of everything when in L.A. cough

I live in LA. Most of the big tourist spots are Venice/Santa Monica beach, Melrose, Hollywood blvd, Downtown LA, Disneyland…
You’ll definitely have plenty to see!

I’ve you’re not a vegetarian, I recommend going to Lawry’s The Prime Rib in LA one night. UNBELIEVABLE.

I’m not a vegetarian (I can’t exist without meat ;)) so I’ll have it in mind, thank you.

When you’re in San Diego, go to Coronado Island (It’s a peninsula really) and go to the beach there, and the Hotel del Coronado. It’s a beautiful hotel, and you can walk through the lobby without being kicked out. The beach on the island is very nice and peaceful, even mid summer.

Thank you! I’ll definitely consider that.

from Santa Monica

I lived in San Diego for almost 5 years and I second the Beach at the Hotel del Coronado! It’s one of the most beautiful beaches, just remember the water’s gonna be cold no matter what!

Also if you like small amusement type places, Belmont Park is also on another beach and the food is amazing. They have the best fried oreos ever!

I was born in San Diego, but moved to CT when I was 7 and I’ve only been back once in 2000. lol. I would LOVE to see an LP show in Los Angeles. I used to go to Belmont Park a lot when I was little, I miss it so much!

hollywood im from long beach but yeah love going there so much fun  take a tour at warner bros studio, go see jimmy kimmel, go to the gauman chines theatre on a weekday around 5-7pm theres movie premieres
