I am a major rap fan, alot of underground. I dont consider fort minor or mike shinoda in the rap category necessarily, great sound but not really rap artists, just sick awesome musical skills.
As far as rappers, check out hard target, just signed with fred durst actually from limp bizkit and is coming on strong, white rapper and he is going to kill it soon, finally made it to radio play recently.
