There is a story behind these lyrics
4 years ago my family got hit by hard times
We had been threatened by bailiffs, we had serious debts, but I swore that I would do everything I could to get us out
I sold EVERYTHING I owned apart from the clothes on my back just to get us through a couple of weeks
As the years passed I managed to slowly to claw it back
Still in debt but its more manageable and I no longer have bailiffs on my case and my family still have a roof over their heads and food on the table
This is for those that have felt or feel like that:
I swear to you that i’ll get us out of the mess we’re in
I may not have a plan or know where to begin
I swear to you i’ll keep going 'til my last breath
I will keep on trying 'til I have nothing left
It could take me forever, it won’t happen now
But i’ll make sure i’ll figure out how
I will hold on to hope for us with both my fists
