Picture In Our Minds

I had a picture in my mind of how things was supposed to be
But the crumbled up paper it’s drawn on always reminds me
That nothing is ever perfect and it’s okay to feel that way
So we draw a new picture, because nothing ever stays the same

I guess that it’s alright to start the picture again

As the picture in our minds constantly changes
We draw the things that sometimes seem strangest
But it’s normal for us as it sits on all the pages
As the picture in our minds consistantly changes

The way I pictured things isn’t the way they look now
But i’m okay with the way things have worked out somehow
It’s a reminder that the way the picture ends may not be the way it begun
It can happen to me, you, anyone

I guess that it’s alright that I started the picture again
