Album recommendations thread:

Well, the title is pretty self explanatory. I’m always on the look for new music to listen to and I definitely know I’m not alone, so I’ve made this thread. If you want to recommend any albums from any artist of any genre this is the place to do it.

Here are my recommendations:

-Red: All albums (especially ‘Until we have faces’ and ‘Of beauty and rage’)
-Blindspott: Self titled album
-Blacklistt: Self titled album
-Skillet: Collide, Comatose
-12 Stones: Self titled album, Anthem for the underdog, Beneath the scars
-Thousand foot krutch: Phenomenon, The end is where we begin, Oxygen Inhale
-Limp Bizkit: Results may vary, Greatest hitz, Gold cobra
-Hollywood Undead: Swan Songs, American Tragedy, Notes from the underground, Day of the dead (especially SS and AT)

  • Evanescence: Fallen
    -P.O.D: Satellite
    -Staind: Dysfunction
    -One republic: Waking up
-Ne Yo: Year of the gentlemen
-Like a storm: Awaken the fire
    -Nine lashes: World we view
-We as human: Self titled album
    -Tomb raider OST (2013 game)
-Of mice and men - Restoring force

Oh boy… ok:

  • Avenged Sevenfold: Sounding Of The Seventh Trumpet, Nightmare
  • Rise Against: Appeal To Reason, Endgame
  • Funeral For A Friend: Hours
  • White Lies: To Lose My Life
  • Stone Sour: House of Gold and Bones 1 & 2
  • Of Mice and Men: Self titled
  • Dr. Dre: Straight Outta Compton
  • Public Enemy: It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back

Been listening to these a lot lately, will add more as we go if anything comes to mind.

@the_termin8r1 Did you really like Oxygen: Inhale?

Cool, time to listen to all of this…

Yes, I liked it. Roads untraveled is prob my fav from the album. They’re working on ‘Oxygen exhale’ from what I’ve heard.

I only liked Roads Untraveled and Light Up lol. But yeah they are, Trevor said it’s gonna be heavier too!

Oh wait, I just realized, Roads untraveled is from Living things  I meant Untraveled Road.

Yay to both of us for confusing the songs!!

From the latest ones:

Of Mice and Men - “Restoring force”
Papa Roach - “F.E.A.R.”
Disturbed - “Immortalized”

Hm…
Acres - Solace EP (ambient post hardcore/melodic hardcore)

Hotel Books - Everything We Could Have Done Differently (spoken word/ambient)

Phedora - The House Of Ink (alt.rock/prog rock) - after 30.09 (it’s not released yet, but it’s gonna be fucking great, check out the snippets; I’m following the band since 2013 and they’ve never dissapointed me)

Thousand Foot Krutch - The Flame In All Of Us (alt.rock)

God Is An Astronaut - All Is Violent, All Is Bright (post rock)

Besides - We Were So Wrong (post rock)

Thanks for reminding me that Immortalized has been released. I have been waiting eagerly for that, and forgot all about it midst the other stuff. Thanks again.

I wasn’t too impressed by it

Aren’t TFK Christian metal?

Oh, yes! PRoach’s F.E.A.R. was great!
I believe TFK is Christian Rock too…

Well, since I am yet to hear the album, I would refrain from commenting anything.
To contribute to the topic, I would like to suggest Slash’s 3 albums - Slash, Apocalyptic Love & World on Fire. Most of you guys may have heard it already. In case you havent, I recommend it with all my love for rock & roll

Maybe, the last time I have listened TFK was sooo long ago, so I don’t remember their style in 100%. But I remember that they’re one of those “easy to listen for typical LP fan” band

I bought it as a CD a year or so ago, liked it and then 6 months after I bought it something snapped inside me and now I hate it. I’ve no idea where the instant hate came from

Maybe that’s why the World’s on Fire :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m guessing that’s a song reference I don’t get.

They’ve released second single/song from that album! Woah, it’s really nice.

First single for those, who are interested:

I can’t wait to listen to the album(s) you recommended, I’m still on Evo’s list. I liked both singles.

So, @the_termin8r1, went through your list , the albums I didn’t know about at least.

Blindspott and Blacklistt: Honestly, if those were instrumental albums I’d love them. The vocals don’t sit well with me for some reason but the music is amazing!
12 Stones: Cool stuff
Evanescence: Although I’ve listened to the album before, I can’t stand female vocalists for some reason, no matter how good they are. Anyone else have the same problem?

The rest I already knew and I’m a big fan of most of them!

Yeah, Blindspott/Blacklistt takes some getting used to.

Thus far from what I’ve heard:

Avanged: Not my cup of tea
Rise against: I’ve heard black market before and I don’t mind them
Funeral for a friend I liked
White lies wasn’t bad, close to Imagine Dragons but better.
I’m still listening to stone sour, but so far I like it.
