@Im_Normal Yeah that true and that people can’t handle the truth or the opinions
You have got to listen to Minutes To Midnight in whole, but Leave Out All The Rest is gorgeous. Such a great melody, the guitars come alive in the chorus, and it shows Chester unleashing emotion full force with some of their best lyrics to date. Tells a great story. I fully reccomend it.
@Im_Normal Ok I will that sounds cool I will try it.
Not only I going to listen to that song but i’m going to listen to the whole album.
I absolutely agree, m2m might be mellower than other albums but enjoyable from start to finish
id include hands held high lyrically in todays world
The first time I heard that song I almost cried. Mike does a great job on that song, and I think as a rap ballad that song works very well. I love the line “When the rich wage war, it’s the poor who die.” I relate being a poor person.
you took that line from my fingertips haha
‘Cause I’m sick of bein’ treated like I have before
Like I’m stupid standin’ for what I’m standin’ for
Like this war’s really just a different brand of war
Like it doesn’t cater to rich and abandon poor
Like they understand you in the back of their jet
When you can’t put gas in your tank
To this day, I still consider HHH the greatest (lyrics wise) song Mike has ever written.
My favorite lyrics from linkin park:
" In these promises are broken, deep below each word get lost in the echo so one last lie I can see through this time I finally let you go go go"
" forfeit the game before somebody else take you out of the frame put your name to shame cover up your face you can’t run the race the pace is too fast you won’t last."
many more
I love so many… but one of my favorites is from Lost in the Echo,
“I can’t fall back, I came too far.
Hold myself up and love my scars.”
Hybrid Theory:heart: el primer amor:heart_eyes: imposible superarlo!!!
Dont stay"

And I don’t even know what kind of things I said
My mouth kept moving and my mind went dead
So I’m picking up the pieces, now where to begin
The hardest part of ending is starting again.
Not a favorite, but closest to me
I love the lyrics to In Pieces especially but I do love other songs as well. This song holds a special place in my heart to all of my so called “friends” holding secrets away from me and falling out with them in the end.
Telling me to go
But hands beg me to stay
Your lips say that you love
Your eyes say that you hate
There’s truth in your lies
Doubt in your faith
What you build you lay to waste
There’s truth in your lies
Doubt in your faith
All I’ve got’s what you didn’t take
So I, I won’t be the one
Be the one to leave this
In pieces
And you, you will be alone
Alone with all your secrets
And regrets
Don’t lie
You promise me the sky
Then toss me like a stone
You wrap me in your arms
And chill me to the bone
There’s truth in your lies
Doubt in your faith
All I’ve got’s what you didn’t take
So I, I won’t be the one
Be the one to leave this
In pieces
And you, you will be alone
Alone with all your secrets
And regrets
Don’t lie
So I, I won’t be the one
Be the one to leave this
In pieces
And you, you will be alone
Alone with all your secrets
And regrets
Don’t lie
Yeah, I think Minutes To Midnight has some of their best lyrics, along with A Thousand Suns and The Hunting Party. Those three albums really show how good Linkin Park can be with lyrics, should they put in the effort.
