The Getaway is probably my favorite album of the year. It deserves a Grammy.

Exhale is definitely way better than Inhale. I actually like it a lot better… good songs on it, Lifeline is my favorite.

This is me right now. Well, I have a question: Is it only me or do you guys sometimes get a feeling that if RHCP songs are played in a row, they seem similar? Eg: For this new album, Song1 & 2 are very much alike, song 5 & 6 are similar to each other. The curious case of RHCP & Me.

I don’t know… I just think they have that RHCP signature sound. Some have vibes from Under The Bridge and Can’t Stop in my opinion.

Yes, I agree with the signature sound but otherwise, when I am listening to songs like “the getaway” and “dark necessities” in a row, the line where the first stops and the second starts is a blur. Sometimes that’s irritating as this happens to me with RHCP only.
The album sounds great though. First Radiohead, now RHCP. Good music is in the air :slight_smile:

I can’t say I noticed it but maybe they tried to do smooth changes between the songs, to be more cohesive?
