Language is very important… Wars have been started because of people misunderstanding language…
I have no diploma at all (quit highschool at 17 because of my pregnant girlfriend at the time) but I’ve always been eager to learn… Only knowledge and understanding other people’s language can create tolerance towards them. Especially in today’s multicultural world…
Also, I have only 1 Belgian friend, so I’m forced to be able to speak other languages 
Another country where the inhabitants speak multiple languages… Just as Belgium and Switserland…
In Belgium we have three language communities so we are obliged to learn them if we want to understand the other Belgians…

I’m not very talented in language so.
Was really bad in English, even nearly didn’t graduate cause of it.
My French was better, all the vacations and student exchange.
And everytime I wanted to say something in English, there was just French.
Now it is the other way around.
I wished this as rule for every country!
Oh, there are so many languages I would love to speak: French, Spanish, Swedish, Polish, Turkish, Italian (What a beautiful language)

I’ll learn you some Dutch (not Flemish which is actually my first language, but it’s similar to Dutch) (oh fun fact, I live in the west of Belgium, an area that has a sort of Flemish that isn’t even understood by other Flemish people, some take even courses to be able to understand us

Oh, platt is a language I also would like to speek.
But after years of living in the north, I’m just happy to understand it.
My mother in law just spoke platt with her parents, but sadly didn’t teach her kids.
Isn’t that similar too “Friesch” in the north of Holland? Come to speak of it, it actually does have a lot of similarities to my Flemish… When I hear Friesch, I understand a lot of it…

‘t west-vloams (my language) is actually a very “dirty” language… We use a lot of swear words and it’ s very shabby…
I guess you could best translate it as “I can feel it in my balls”. But it’s more than that, it’s difficult to describe, guess you have to be born in it to fully understand.
