It scares me practically every time it comes on my CD/iPod (even though it’s the first track). I used it as my alarm clock a couple of times for that reason haha
You hate genetics? That’s one of the more interesting parts of biology imo.
Also, I feel really old reading all these posts about people being in school/class…granted, some of these people could be in college courses, but I’m even past that age now. lol!

Planning out songs to sing for the vocal competition I just entered! 
There are five rounds to the competition. Last year I did it and made it to round 3, but I think I had a bad song choice that round which is why I didn’t make it through to round 4. So far the plan is:
Round 1: “Hot & Cold” by Katy Perry
Round 2: “Independence Day” by Martina McBride
Round 3: “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes
Round 4: “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys
Round 5: “Just a Girl” by No Doubt
I’m so excited. I love performing. Music is my life…I wish I got to perform more often. I’m currently part of a two piece band and we’re finally trying to gig in the next month or so.

Thanks! Yeah, I’m saving it as the last song, because the last song, they want you to go all out with a full production and everything. Last year, the winner had dancers with him and did some choreography in the middle of this performance. I want to do “Just a Girl” with a full band behind me if I make it to the finale. I’m considering playing “What’s Up” acoustically as well and get the crowd to sing along with me.
That sounds like fun!! Especially having the crowd join in
