Really, what’s the grey area?

What do mean?

If it’s not inefficiency then what is it?

Me, having the last post.

That makes no sense.

For me it’s more a matter of will and take of the decisions. We don’t always choose the best and we we wrong on something out decision is see the positive side or the negative one according our will.

Sorry

And this is what I mean by inefficiency. The best approach would be to look at the situation realistically and then plan your next steps accordingly. We engineers even have a joke about this, made from that stupid glass analogy. It’s not half full, nor is it half empty. Just twice as big as it needs to be, thus being a waste of material and inefficient.

Lol. I’m assuming that the previous reply was a reply to my comment about the grey area.

This is what we should do… But! What happens when someone is assaulting you? Or someone from the nothing put a gun against your head? You can’t think clearly, much less talk with the other man.

Let’s supposed that the man took out all your things. What do you do?

A. Being optimistic and say to yourself "I’m alive, now I’ll looking for the police and/or my family
B. Stay in ground crying for what has happened, blame your life and others and don’t do anything else.

That’s not a matter of optimism or pessimism, that’s adrenaline induced (and usually blind), panic.

That’s not optimism, it’s closer to realism since you made a move to do something about it. Optimism would be to almost warp the situation so that it looks good and then do nothing about your stolen possessions.

That would be avoid the reality of the situation, and that is more close to the pessimist.

I want to know what are you definition of “optimistic” and “pessimist” and “inefficiency”?

Optimism and pessimism to me are getting to far into either extreme and clouding your judgment, thus being inefficient.

Simple examlpe:

Hypothetically, you’ve put on a bit of weight and could do with a little exercise to get back down to normal.

Optimism: It’s not that bad, I can continue not exercising and eating mostly unhealthy stuff.

Pessimism: I’m Jabba the f*cking Hutt and I can’t do anything about it.

Realism: Right, it could be a lot worse, the situation is easily salvagable, gotta cut back on the junk and get out a bit more.

Got it.

For me optimist is a neutral point between the pessimist (negative side) and the positivist. Being inefficiency is down the pessimist.

I’m conclusion:
Each one has a different concept of what those words mean. I don’t want to spend my day talking about this (unfortunately I have things to do) so I’ll looking for the popular definition of each word later.

You’re expecting me to say expecto patronum

But I think this “RIDDICULUS” is more appropriate
