I didn’t sleep in all the night, so if I survive the day on the work I’ll come back to annoy that onion

How many hours are you on now?

Evening all…work was hard today on 2 hours of sleep and in this heat! But last post!!

I don’t know what’s worse, 2h of sleep or sporadic sleep. I spent pretty much my entire day reading up on commercial aircraft disasters such as the Concorde crash and the Tenerife disaster, ended up stumbling on several interesting plane related videos. Actually, I’m still reading about the Tenerife disaster right now.

Sleep is just bad for you!! :joy: just to read or for anything?

Can you rephrase please? :stuck_out_tongue:

By ‘you’ do you mean me specifically? Also I don’t get the second half at all.

Sorry meant sleep Is bad for everyone haha! Did you read about the aircrafts for fun or for a project etc? My phrasing is bad due to lack of sleep!

Ah, it was out of boredom. They’re quite interesting reads. Some of them pretty damn horrifying, even for me.

Yeah, but sometimes it’s interesting like the causes etc and what they have made safer!

Usually the causes are either human stupidity/carelessness or nature. Like the Hudson landing (that was caused by a flock of geese), that pilot is a fucking legend.

Yeh that was pretty cool! And yeh some pilots made mistakes!

The Tenerife disaster was down to a complete communication breakdown (in more than one sense), the Concorde crash was partly down to a Texan redneck service mechanic who hadn’t done their job properly on another plane, partly down to mechanics who forgot to replace a massive part on the Concorde and partly down to a captain who was planning to fly while being miles past the max takeoff weight.

It’s crazy how much one little thing can cause a big disaster!

Just stumbled onto this page.

Apparently a plane fell today.

Yeah!Once I saw that lots of airplanes fall down and engineers discovered that it was due to ice which stopped the engines! :exploding_head:

Yeah, things like that have happened. But then again, it’s taken a lot less to bring down a plane before.

Well it said that planes are the most secure mean of transport…

They are in terms of percentage of crashes. Cars are far more dangerous. Russia alone are responsible for 98% of all car crashes, and they all (every driver) have 3 an hour there. LMAO :joy:
