Maybe there aren’t many of you, but you seem to be pretty dedicated as I could have seen it during the concert on the Red Square for the TF3 world premiere.

i heard there are around 30 000 LPUers
average age i guess would be like 18-28
I would say 50 50 maybe a bit more men
i would say the US,Japan and Germany
So far there’s 6756 members registered with the site, including staff. In the past it was the US & Canada, followed by the UK and Germany.
Thanks! I did not know that

Not that I didn’t believe Bob, but I’ve checked myself and he seems to be absolutely right about our numbers.

Roughly 800 people mentioned their gender. If the trend here is correct, we are 50% male and 50% female (not a big surprise then).

I can’t be sure, but I would guess that the average age is ~25â¦ (oh damn, I’m bringing it up quite a bitâ¦).
[wink]

Well the numbers are obviously increasing each day, so that’s okay. BTW I’m Chris, not Robert :P.

I’d guess the gender is largely reflective of the world population, where women ever so slightly outnumber men (~0.5% difference).

In the earlier days of the LPU, the average age was much older than it is today. The majority were in the their 20s, now I’d say late teens have the largest representation.

WAIT! Are you saying that we’ve gotten younger?[surprised]

lol

really? wow i thought the guys back then would be in the same age as we are now.
I know from lpu9 that we had a guy there who was like 10 or so which was funny
I was 11 when lpu1 cames out so its kinda clear why i wasn’t able to join. Also my parents were very strict with internet …

Why are the ppl gettin younger nowerdays in the LPU?
cause you said 10 years back there were more “older ppl” than today
WAIT! Are you saying that we’ve gotten younger?[surprised]

lol
Yes I am!

I think the average age is lower because parents are less paranoid about the internet due to its sheer ubiquity. Then there is adults who are making tough decisions during the global recession, while kids still have birthdays and pocket money. I also believe younger fans are less fickle than older ones, and are more willing to adapt to changes by the band.

There was a guy (username sean) from the UK in LPU2.0 that was 9 when he registered, I believe.

The young boy Alex [LinkinParkForever275] was talking about had Chester7890 as username in the LPU 9.

You’re quite right. But also, being much older, makes me/one very open to changes too. I mean, why should someone take music any serious? Well, why take anything at all seriously??? [wink]

I think US would be #1 in amount of LPUers

population of India: 1.2 billion, 2nd largest in the world
among all the places I’ve been here and ppl i met, one in every 3 person knows/listens/likes Linkin Park (ok the density is more in my city since its the largest in the country and one of the biggest in the world)
among them ppl who ACTUALLY know the existence of lpu: I guess 1 in 1000

and till now indian LPUers so far: ~10 (I miss several of those options where you can filter ppl by region and all in the former boards)

and as far as I know, active here (inluding me): 3 :S
no wonder why they never come here… 8 years and counting…

That 6000 or 7000 people include people from LPUX too i think.

Sure. I, for exemaple, haven’t subscribed for LPU11 yet, as my LPUX membership expires only in January…
