Sorry girl :frowning: I could’ve helped you out and got you one but funds are low on my card ha linkin park drained me this year.

[quote=RobSSC][quote=LiLJanet]Thanks everyone for giving me hope but had no luck. Guess have to wait for their album tour

I was pissed cause I was on the page at 10am but when I pressed add to cart, nothing got added. I went to lunch, came back and there was a single ticket available. Luckily I got it, but now I gotta go solo dolo, not sure how to break the news to my friend

Oh man that’s sucks! Haha well at least u get to go, tell her you can take her to the album tour! I still so bummed that I couldn’t get any tix (pouty face)!

[quote=LiLJanet]So bummed it’s sold out already and I didn’t even get to buy any!!! BOO!!! So freaking bummed!!

I’ve gotta a buddy of mine who is an attorney who says he would file a class action suit against Linkin Park for this scam of a fan club.

They try to claim you are getting access to unrelated LP junk for your 25.00, but it really is - at it’s heart - a fee you pay for a chance to buy tickets. Anytime you are paying for a chance to get something, that is considered a lottery.

I can afford the 25 bucks. I’m annoyed at what happened today, but whatever. But I feel bad for the people they are taking advantage of by sending out email blasts last night, encouraging people to pay 25 bucks for a chance at tickets, and stealing their money for a concert that sold out in a matter of seconds.

I think the idea of stealing money from your own fans is disgusting. I know all you guys will defend this practice, especially those that got tickets. But I think it’s highly unethical, and probably illegal. Would love to see them sued for it.

Flame away LP defenders. It’s how I feel.

I’m in no way trying to “flame” you, but you bring up some pretty invalid points. first off, people are still able to get tickets now. second, your argument is all based on perception. yes, you perceive this fanclub to be - at its heart - a place to have a chance to get tickets. but the way i perceive it, it’s a perk of being part of the fanclub. they release and gift a lot of things that isn’t available to the public. just because you put a massive amount of importance on the ability to get pre-sale tickets doesn’t mean that that’s what it is.

i’m not saying that people didn’t get screwed out of getting some tickets today (even though some are being returned and put back up as i’m typing this), but it’s a PERK. what’s so bad about that? plus, they made is very clear that there was a limited amount to be sold, which shouldn’t even be such a big deal since they’re a huge band playing in such a small venue. people who dropped $25 for the membership were completely aware of the availability and the chance they had to get them. it’s not this fanclub’s fault. but that’s just the way i PERCEIVE it. just like you perceive it to be something completely different.

Yeah I’m pretty excited now. I’m probably gonna go on a road trip with my friend to the Mountain View, CA Honda Civic Tour date if I can get tickets for that. Hopefully that works out and doesn’t sell out as fast as this one.

Hopefully they come back and do a full US album tour in the spring or something. Good luck with getting tickets if that does happen.

If they care that much about fans, why make them pay to join the club? Why not make access to presale tix based on points you earn on the website? Come up with some fan loyalty system. Don’t just send out an email blast the sole purpose of which is to entice people to pay 25.00 the night before a ticket sale for an extremely rare chance of getting a ticket. Why not just send it to current subscribers? It just doesn’t seem right to me.

They basically were recruiting people to pony up the 25. Chester even taped a video urging people to sign up. I think it’s sad.

Yah, I am a little ticked off because not only did I purchase the $60 membership & the ordered the pre-order album the first day they announce the tour dates to find out out they don’t have dates to perform in LA or the at the Honda Civic Center in Orange County!!! WTH!! Then when I tried the HOB like every LP Underground member, after a couple of times of refreshing ( and to keep trying from what everyone telling me) I didn’t have any luck with scoring tickets!!! I’m a little disappointed and bummed! Sorry for venting, really thought I was going to get tickets!

You are not alone. They are scamming hundreds of their own fans.

They are probably not even aware how badly they are taking advantage of people. I’m sure they rely on others to keep all of this frustration from the band itself. They seem like good guys who would not be happy to hear about this.

But ultimately they are responsible for the scam. That’s why a little lawsuit to put an end to this join the club to buy tickets BS might put an end to the practice and force them to find a less greedy way to identify real fans and give them early access to tix. Cause this is just a money grab disguised as a fan club.

And dont get me started on how a band from LA only schedules dates in Chula Vista and Mountain View. That’s BS.

I’m done with these guys. Sellouts who spend more time performing for Michael Bay in LA than they do for their original fans.

Wonder what song will be in Transformers 3?

You guys act like you were fishing for tickets for the staples center or something. This place is a basement compared to arenas so obviously there’s only gonna be so much tickets. How many people can fit in the hob? How many people in LA and around it are LPU members? Quit crying and use your brains. You were obviously able to still get tickets hours after the time if you got lucky, right? So what’s the problem? You can complain, file lawsuits blah blah but in the end, you’re the one that’s losing, not us. Have fun wasting your time.

I was lucky enough to get tickets. This will be my 6th Linkin Park show.

I just checked and General Admission tickets came up. This was a couple of minutes ago. For anyone that hasn’t gotten tickets, don’t give up.

yea, i just check. i’m able to get tickets GA tickets right now.

See?! Exactly my point. People are so easy to just give up and run their mouths. Anyway, See you there tho!

It’s brilliant marketing. From the LIVING THINGS pre-sale hype, to the Honda Civic Tour pre-sale, and now the additional, intimate LPU shows announced in LA and Berlin. Yes, they want you to buy LPU. But if you think about it, the price of $25 (or $20 if you pre-ordered the album) is significantly lower than the $60 it used to be just a year ago. And remember the $10 monthly deal? Now you can have the entire year for $25! Not too bad…

But you have to remember, Linkin Park has a LOT of fans, and the LPU is for some of the most passionate fans. Competition for small shows is expected to be high. And in this case, demand for the show far outweighed the supply they had on hand. But everybody had a fair chance. It just took a little time, patience, and yes, even a bit of luck. I know a lot of people didn’t get tickets, no matter how hard they refreshed. But in my opinion, I would much rather have the chance to buy tickets straight from the source, rather than from another ticket Co. like Livenation or Ticketmaster where scalpers can take advantage of the pre-sales.

It’s not just about “making the band more money”. I’m sure they could terminate the entire LPU program and do just fine. But the fees and prices we pay for the LPU are what enable these events to happen in the first place. Yay for business ethics… !

Wow! Even people that just joined 8 hours ago were even able to get tickets… What does that say? Pure luck and dedication! People who didn’t get tickets aren’t as mad as others.

Yeah sure I would be upset too but I wouldn’t be on these boards bad mouthing the band or the fan club!

The fan club isn’t just to get presale tickets. It’s a family and there are tons of perks… Maybe that’s why some people joined but it’s not the ONLY reason.

Indeed… I will be enjoying my Chula Vista show. It’s an incredibly long wait… however, will be an amazing night!

Just got my ticket! See y’ll there!
