Does anyone know how to get hold of the “tracking number” for the shipped laminates to SA
I’ve asked support about tracking numbers and apparently there aren’t any…they apparently use a branch of UPS postal service but UPS can’t answer any questions regarding the parcel and nor can the local or international postal service because there is no reference number to track it on. UPS can’t even answer basic questions like does it go through your local mail service or does it get delivered to your door by a topless model…
Yes, I have seen that at the back of the laminate
It does not grant access (such as entrance if you do not have a ticket for the show) but it has been confirmed by LPU that it can be used for the early access to prove that you are a member
Hi there.
Would love if you could keep me informed as I did not receive my boyfriends pass but did receive mine.
Would be great to know where to go to collect them cos, as you said, Big Concerts staff themseleves aren’t so clued up. And really don’t wanna lose out.
Hi everyone
Im sure that there are many of you who have not received your laminates as yet, and might not get it in time for the concert
As you are aware, we need these laminates for the early access
According to LPU, if we do not receive it in time, we can print out our receipt and bring that along with our ID books to be granted the early access
Now that being said, bear in mind that Big Concerts are the promoters and will be having their staff at the event as well for co-ordination. If you have been to a concert before hosted by Big Concerts, you would realise that there have been hiccups regarding procedures and operations. So I decided to send Attie Van Wyk (The CEO of Buig Concerts) an email expressing my concerns. This is what I sent:
Hi Attie
This email is in regards to the Linkin Park concert at FNB Stadium
If you are aware, many people registered on the LPU website to gain membership to Linkin Park. Benefits of this membership included presale tickets, early entry to the concert and many others. We had to pay a fee of $60 for this membership
Our LPU package was supposed to be shipped to us, the most important item in that package was the laminate access card which grants members early access into the concert. Some members have already received this laminate while there are plenty others who have not received it, including myself. I have spoken to support at LPU, and they informed me that if our laminates have not been received in time for the concert, we can print out our receipt and bring along our ID books, and that should be sufficient to gain the access.
I would like to know if Big Concerts are aware of this matter, as they are many LPU members who have not received their laminates and are worried that they might not gain the early access.
That being said, the reason I am sending this email is due to an unpleasant experience at a previous concert due to the fact that staff were not properly informed about operations
I am just hoping that for the Linkin Park concert, there would not be any hiccups. The main factor being the early access as mentioned above.
He did not respong, but the CFO Justin VAn Wyk did respond to me:
Hi Shaun,
LPU has confirmed that the laminate have been sent by mail, and if you do not receive your laminate you are required to print a copy of your LPU receipt and bring it to the venue to receive a new laminate. LPU will have a team on-site to coordinate everything, and closer to the time they will send detailed instructions about where you need to go and when you need to be there. We endeavor to improve your experience with the upcoming Linkin Park concert.
Best Regards,
Justin Van Wyk CA (SA)

I know it sucks not to have our laminates, but at least we dont have to worry about being denied the early access. Hope this helps!
Hey! This is what I did. Last month after still not receiving anything I called jhb international mail centre 011 961 6000. They take forever to answer, but after numerous calls I finally got thru. I told them I don’t have a tracking number n they said they can pick it up with my name. So I did so, n guess what, they had it all along. I had to go to jet park to fetch it n pay the ridiculous customs fee. The only shit thing was that I opened up 2 accounts on here, one for me n one for my gf. Billing and shipment were both under my name, but they only had one lpu package. Still haven’t received the other one. But as per my post, not to worry as we can receive it at the show
I ordered my LPU Plus Pass in July and confirmation says got shipped in July 25.
Like most ppl, I haven’t received anything. The scariest thing is some ppl receive half of what’s
suppose to be in the package and grnd(cntrl) tells em ‘there was no stock’.
(wade)cntrl has helped most ppl and it seems I’ll get an answer from him soon.
It’s gr8 that the Summit is gonna be in SA bt its in CT and I got Jo’burg tix, on a Wednesday!

My gf got hold of wade as well. He was very helpful n said that its too late to ship another package to be in time for the concert. So guess we will only get it after then
I just wanted to so a big THAK YOU to all the local LPU members- thanks to you and the information you have shared on this forum, I have managed to get all my tickets (JHB and CPT) as well as track down and collect my LPU merchandise. Am super stoked!!
-
Tickets - called Big COncerts (011) 759-7215. Gave them my ref numbers from my receipts and they gave me “B” reference number. Went to my local Checkers with the number and my ID - walked out with my tickets
-
Merchandise- Went to 3 different post offices in my area and finally 1 of them helped me by using my postal code and told me which post office the package would probably have been sent to - was one I didnt even knew existed! Went there, pleaded with the lady to check and PRESTO, she found it - couldn’t sweet talk my way out of the >R600 custom charges (have 2 Merch packs in one delivery) but hey…
Now if I can just land Summit Passes… my year is made!
Good luck for tomorrow everyone!
Yay! Another happy customer over here,
Tickets for the Johannesburg concert, Golden Circle in hand. Parking ticket at the stadium purchased and then on Wednesday my laminate arrived I only had to pay R15 to collect…
Unfortunately cannot make the summit in Cape town but if I land a meet and greet I will be so happy!
