Since when the hell was there a Linkin Park VEVO? Goddamn VEVO, they’re infectious…

Not LP related,or not very much, but this was made by Mike and it gives you some hope yet to know how good he/they can make you think they’ve absolutely left rock, but then you hear this and realize they’re still there :relaxed:

That video was pretty awesome. I’ve known about this guy from other things he’s done with other people and thought he was cool before. but that made me like him even more. I’m the last person that should be saying this, but he does like a lot like a girl. This was the first thing I ever saw relating to him:

Can’t believe ESP people took too serious what Mike said about their guitars for this album lol

“I want people to think that creatively, as artists, these guys have balls. They go where they want. They’re not bound by the rules of what they’re supposed to be in the eyes of onlookers or anything outside. We are Linkin Park, and therefor the music that we make is Linkin Park. That, to me, is very risky. I’d like people to like listening to the record but also appreciate the danger, in some ways, of what we’re doing and how willing we are to go there without being afraid of it.”

This is a quote of Chester from a recent interview; I’m just gonna leave it here for everyone to read and think about what he’s saying.

Love when he answers like that lol

After all, he’s right. Even WBR knows they sell better with rock music for the fanbase. But again they did what they wanted and its good to know they actually did choose to do it by themselves

You’ll always sell more by sticking to what you know your fan base will eat up. You take a risk when you drastically change your sound in a way that will probably alienate most of your fan base. Like I said before, if Linkin Park was gonna sell put, they would’ve made bland rock music, not bland pop music. They’re a rock band, after all.

Exactly, and they recognize that, they don’t say “This is a different rock album” or “We took rock to another level” and stuff. They know this is pop music.

We may like it or not, but as long as the choice is made by the same band’s desire with honesty and not being forced by someone else Im happy.

“Our musical journey doesn’t have a destination, it just has stops. It has places we like to visit and move on.”

I’d definitely like to meet them and sit down to talk. I’m not one of those screaming idiots that wants his shoe autographed. They’re people, not Gods, and I’d like to see what the three of us could enjoy talking about.

EDIT: I know! ALIENS!!!

I’ve had literally a dream where I talk with Mike about the songs, and he says with no problem what will be the next song and all that (He said “Sorry For Now”), about instrumentals, atmosphere and more production tricks and stuff, it was awesome

I found @evooba’s interview. Im glad they clarify more things about pop and how people see them.

This interview is really good. They reveal some stuff that made me sad but said some other things that reminded me of why I respect them as a band and individuals. If you can get your hands on it, do read the whole thing.

I just did reat what that site shows, what did make you sad?

I will probably just listen to the leaked version of the whole album lol. And Fabuless by Stone Sour too!

Some people don’t know they’ve been involved with this company for a while ago and think they just did it today to “sell out”. The new album is really afecting them.

But I really liked that video

After hearing Good Goodbye kinda like the song

But stresses me out on this album, I am sure it was said by Chester that they wanted to make songs they would enjoy singing live, but so far 2 out of the 3 songs released features other artist…
Ok yes Chester could easily sing Heavy and yeah maybe Mike will do Good Goodbye but unlikely he’ll do the whole song

Surely it would make more sense to release songs that didn’t feature another artist

And while i’m ranting I feel abit cheesed off that they have released 3 songs already that’s basically 1/3 of the album before the album is even out

What happened to the times we only got one single and then the album followed…?!?

I use Stagelight. When you want to buy items in the store, you simply add them to your cart and check out with your credit card
