I’ve been listening to Heavy none stop for the past couple of days. Not only is it a good song for me but my parents enjoy it as well. If I would have listened to this song a few years ago, I would have hated it but by liking one major pop artist (Madonna), I like good pop songs when they are done properly.
Anyway, I agree with you. Linkin Park means so much to me as my favourite band, my favourite artist and 6 of my favourite guys on the planet. They have helped me gone through the last 12 years of my life where many personal issues have happened in my family and LP has always been there every step of the way. I have even performed concerts during my high school years to show it and have made several friends liking their music
What makes so special is that they are changing their sound from nu metal to alternative to electronic to hard rock and now to pop. I hope that these new songs are brilliant.

She I told her about BID she told me I should of left it at that, I didn’t like it at first. She told me I was into too much and basically said I forced myself to like the song just because it was Linkin Park. I am a fan of them, they’ve help me in life when I family couldn’t. She has her own excuses for me likin the band when I have none. I like the new song. I like some pop songs, my favorites and even those she is not a pop artist would be Rihanna and I love Pink.
I can’t tell her how Linkin Park is and how they said they will never go back to how HT was. And she told me that they did change that they are trying to be like others and they are only changing so hey can fit into other stuff. After she said that I got mad and why shouldn’t I, their my band. I know them and she’s been dogging my music for years. I cannot talk about her stuff but she speaks freely about how I need to wake up and listen to something new.
I listen to different songs, music, styles all the time. And with this new LP song that I crave to listen to when I get a free time just to listen to how different it is.

I am not a big fan for Castle of Glass. Aside from he fact that it sounds a little country, that I like but just not a fan of it and not really sure.

I liked the lyrics. First thought of the song was: what the hell is this. The verse sounds a bit weird for me, but I liked the chorus. In summery: I don´t like it much. The live version was better. Surprisingly, it stucks in my head and I sang and piped it the hole day. Heavy is realy an earworm and probably it will grow on me, like some other songs that I don´t like much at the first listen. But that is LP. If the tracklist is correct I´m curious to hear “Battle Symphony”. Sounds interesting.

Yikes! Not good. 
I actually liked the song, specially the lyrics. I got the impression that the “almost spoken” start was to show someone who’s confused, with too many things in mind, most of them self-depreciating. I didn’t mind Kiiara’s vocals, her voice is really smooth and calming… I keep imagining how this will sound live, with only Chester and Mike singing and that beautiful piano playing…

Things I like about “Heavy”:
-The lyrical content
-The reason they featured Kiiara on this song
-Kiiara’s voice is a good accent to the song
-Chester’s voice sounds fantastic on the choruses
-It is a catchy melody. Definitely an earworm.
-The ending of the song where the full band is playing sounds very big and grand (my favorite part of the whole song)
-The band is obviously very proud with how it turned out, so I’m happy for them
Things I dislike about “Heavy”:
-Chester’s talking/rapping on the verse…Why isn’t he actually singing? Is it too deep for him? Why didn’t Mike just rap on the verses if that’s what they wanted? It sounds like he’s struggling…
-WAAAAYYYY too much compression on Chester’s voice
-The drums…they’re so fake and too “distant”.
-The rhythm of the vocals on the verses doesn’t seem very natural. It seems a bit forced.
Overall, I think I’d give this song a 6.5/10. I like this song more than I dislike the song because I like meaningful lyrics and powerful vocals. Still very unimpressed with Chester’s voice on the first verse, but he kills the rest of the song. And Kiiara doesn’t sound as poppy as she does on her own music on this song. She is very talented and we saw that on the live acoustic. Honestly, she sang better than Chester on the live acoustic. 
However, if the song didn’t come together with the full band at the end, I would not be a fan of this song. The mixed feelings are rough to deal with as a long time Linkin Park fan, but I’m still holding out to see what the rest of the album brings.
