Hey guys, I just wanted to ask if I could use my expired passport as ID. Would this be sufficient?
My student ID won’t be available till next week and my recent student ID got stolen at a recent music festival.

How long ago did it expire if it’s only a couple of years i can’t see there being too many issues surely?

Jandex,
as per my message above yours, you need to have purchased a summit pass to be able to attend the summit. If you have LPU plus pass then the summit pass was free but you still had to ‘purchase’ (reserve) one when they became available a few weeks ago.

I have the same note that says I’m attending. But I’m pretty sure anyone can click that and it doesn’t mean you actually have a ticket. I haven’t received any of the emails that I should have received so I don’t think it counts as a pass. 
then how are we suppose to get the tickets?? is it really limited? and another thing is, it use to have this note that says it is “sold out” but now it’s replaced by a note now that says “Im Attending” this is so absurd -_-

Yeah it’s quite limited. It sounds like you’re in the same boat as me because I was seeing the same message about it being sold out. And now just the ‘I’m attending’ note. I agree it’s strange you can ‘attend’ without a ticket!
I have a similar situation here, bought my LPU Plus pass, didn’t get the LPU membership until 24/01, tried to claim my free pass and it wouldnt allow me to, contacted Ticketmaster and all the promoters with no reply what so ever, then all the Summit tickets were gone.
I am going to take Ticketmaster to Commerce Commission if anyone want to join the complaint.
If we can’t get in by the door tomorrow, sure the media will be happy to hear our story!!

Similar issue with you, this whole thing is so bloody disappointing…
If you have LPU membership through here then you should have got an email telling you when summit tickets were available. I got my email 10th Jan saying… Passes for the Summit will be available to LPU members only starting Saturday, January 19 at 9:00 AM local Auckland time HERE…with the HERE in blue to click on…I got there at lunchtime that day. I got my tickets through ticket master but nothing else…did you get email ? wish it was sorted for you x

Hey Chris,
My passport is fairly old as in more than five years but what I’ve done is contacted ground(ctrl) and what they’ve also said is that there really shouldn’t be any issue but because of how old it is its up to ticketmaster to decide whether its good enough.
I went and got new passport photos and got it approved so I’ll be using this and as much evidence I have so that I can get in.

Did either of you actually purchase a summit pass? If not you do not have a summit pass.
The ‘I’m attending’ button you have pointed out is a button you can click to show people you are attending not a statement saying you have a pass.
If you did not follow the emails directions to purchase a pass you do not have a pass

Whilst I understand your frustration. Commerce commission will do nothing because it clearly states that the plus pass does NOT guarantee you a meet& greet or a summit pass

No I definitely don’t have a summit pass. But I’ll be there bright and early tomorrow morning with my Plus Pass just in case someone doesn’t show up and a can beg a spot. Fingers are very crossed!
