If its a bigger flag then they hang it up on the boxes in the front of the stage I think (Idk what they are called lol). They did that at a Texas show some time ago. The last thing they need is a big flag pulling Mike’s keyboard off the platform haha
Yeah dont listen to me. When I mapped out 3x5 on my wall using push pins it seemed huge. But when i actually cut out 3x5 on a piece of landscaping paper it looked fine. Small enough to fit on the keyboard stand but still large enough.
We dont want it too big where we risk definitely not having it hung up or too small where its impossible to see.
Worse comes to worse people can sign the back of the flag also. They wont be seen but atleast theyre there.
LOL, yea and then stand back a couple hundred feet where the first couple of rows will be, then imaging the middle, and the lawn lol, yeah we cant make it too big, I think 3x5 will work good anything close to that will be fine and awesome I think
One quick question. Do we want a backing on the flag? Usually backing isnt put on flags but without backing light can filter through the flag. With backing light doesnt filter through, colors come out better, and the flag will be a little stiffer.
Yeah I would say some type of thin black backing, black kraft paper or pvc film or polyester backing, I think it would help the lights not shine through and make it more visable and probably last longer

Backing obviously will make the flag more expensive but I guess since its going to be on stage with all the lights and everything we kinda need it. Try and get the cheapest one though lol Should be good enough.
lol, need not worry, i will go with the cheapest options possible and still have it come out great. Let’s see what the estimate comes to first.
It wont be that expensive, backing isnt that expensive, its like vinyl for tint on a car, and its not huge so the fabric wont be that expensive, the design cost a little but we did all the designing lol, so divided by 10 people or so, it will be cheap, relatively speaking
Here’s an interesting idea, but just an idea.
Say the price is right, and i get the flag done, instead of everyone splitting the cost to pay me back, we can ask for like a $1 or so “donation” from whoever signs the flag. Then that money collected can be given to music for relief.
I think it would be a great idea to give something back but of course it might not be right to ask for a “donation” to sign the flag, money is tight, etc.
I think someone could just make an announcement about the donation for music for relief at the time everyone comes to sign the flag.
Yeah I think we should focus on just getting the flag paid for and looking good by use 5 or so that are active on here, probably wont be too expensive if we split it, maybe we can get some more on there, and then if we want, we can announce that and collect as sign is flagged for music for relief possibly. But gettting involved in that is a little sketchier, so donating to pay for the flag on here, might be better for now.

The flag looks REALLY cool. Excellent work! I will be more than willing to contribute to a portion of the cost & I will also be willing to donate to Music for Relief if we decide to go that route.
115 with the backing correct? If so, yeah I think were good to go, we split that by 10 and were only looking at a little over 10 bux a person, shouldnt be a problem and I think it will look great.

Steph, make sure you check the hyatt thread and your email, to confirm your room for the hyatt, contact ashley or traci hammil to get your room confirmed, and post in the forum when complete so we have them all booked. Were getting closer, with that and the flag, this will be a sick summit and concert.
As I came up with the design, I’ll gladly chip in to the cost. Really can’t wait to see this thing in person!
