LPU 15 CD & Track by Track Discussion

It’s still like noon there so technically they have a few more hours but yes, I’d like it to be at a specific time too, makes it easier.

It’s a .wav file, not an MP3!

Listening to it now!
I expected something different, but wasn’t disappointed. Was pretty good for a demo, wish it was longer
I’ll have to wait till I get home from work to download and listen to it and then watch the video. Glad the quality is good, though I’ll probably have to convert it to an mp3 at some point.

I just love this song! Amazing instrumental, I’d love them to make songs like this for LP7. Great chorus. TooLeGit had a lot of potential to be catchy single, so bad it wasn’t finished.
Scat vocals by Chester are nice to hear. I prefer songs with scat, unfinished vocals than a 2 minute instrumental. I’m sure more of earlier released demo instrumentals had vocals at some point.

Like I expected, I love the music and the vibe. The vocals had potential, even in gibberish lol. A pretty cool demo, I’m glad they shared it, one of my most favorites ever for sure! (Plus, I have a new song to learn how to play now :stuck_out_tongue: )

Just got done listening to the cd!

 • Animals: Pretty cool song, I liked Mike’s verses a lot and I think it’d have great potentials if it was developed a bit more.
 • Basil: I love the Fort Minor-ish vibe it has. I wish it was longer!
 • PODS 1 and 2: Early Mike Shinoda jamming, interesting to hear but nothing super exciting.
 • PODS 3: Interesting intro and effects. Although it’s such an old demo, it feels like it has some ATS vibe to it.
 • Chance of Rain: Probably my most favorite track so far along with Too Legit. It could have easily been a proper studio album song.

So… did anyone see the Basil track by track video?

######I can’t access the video.

So, no more spoilers, eh?

Why can’t you access it? Yeap, I’m fully briefed on the cd now lol.

Probably the same reason why I cannot access Ted Stryker’s website? lol

A new video has been released as part of the series now. It covers the “Pods” tracks.

The backstory to the songs are really cool. The first POD is my favorite on the album so far

Wow, the story is indeed interesting. Nice to know we have some really early demos too. It now makes sense to me why the tracks sound so… rough.

Chance of Rain is up! Also the last video we’ll get until this month’s download song, as all the CD songs are now done
Kinda interesting they went with “Chance of Rain” as the title when Mike says it’s final title was “Voices”, considering they changed the names of some demos on previous CDs to the final song titles, like In the End and Forgotten on LPU11 and 12 not being called “The Untitled” and “Rhinestone”, even though In the End was still known as “The Untitled” on the Studio Finals CD, with the final lyrics.

Also interesting that this could have potentially kicked off one of the existing Minutes to Midnight songs since it was so close to being on the album
Nice! I guess this makes Chance of Rain the song we would have seen on the album for sure and not Across The Line and Pretend to Be.

We’re getting a new song next week right? (I wish it was the Welcome demo but they’re keeping it for last)

Is that confirmed?

No, just assuming since we got one around mid December so, it’s almost time we got another one.

I mean Welcome in general

Ohhh… the day before 15 launched (and it accidentally went live for a while), some people managed to get the full list with the dates of the to-be-released tracks and the last one was a demo of Welcome.
