Yeah, i was going to bring this up with you a while ago. I’ve been telling people that the blue dot makes it the original, then i looked at Percy’s and his did not even have it. Im very confused now :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, i have scans of the fakes (but not matrix) if anyone would like to have a look. There are a lot more differences on Wake me than No Sun today. I believe on one the font for the lyrics are different. I used to have a comparison picture somewhere.

Who has scans of the re-releases?

I uploaded some comparison photos of the original version of the Hybrid Theory EP vs. the Red Fake version of the EP. Other than the obvious color difference there are some differences in font and detail. The red version has sharper font on the actual CD and in the booklet while the original is a bit less defined probably due to the print quality in 1999. The artwork on the original is very similar to the LPU version of the CD in color and detail but the Red version lacks a bit of detail in the pictures since they are probably not from the original artwork but a copy from it. The baby on the inside cover is a lighter blue than the Fake version which is a very bright blue, almost royal blue. Inside the booklet the original is more of a defined black and white contrast while the Fake is more faded in color and almost grey in color. I forgot to take a picture of the matrix but the original has CDV/CA A 991162 while the fake has CDV-CA A 991162. I also believe the audio levels are quieter on the original but I have yet to check this. There you go, hope this helps all the collectors out there pick out a fake a bit easier. As always be careful on ebay and ask lots of questions and if you think you are getting a good deal you are most likely getting a fake.
