Yes, one mean motherf*cker of a fish. Lives on coral reefs, disguised to look exactly like part of it (you will not see it at all), then when you tread on it, about five to ten 5-8cm spines jam into your foot and inject one of the most painful venoms on this planet. It’s so painful that victims have begged doctors to amputate limbs apparently. In a bad case, you would have to amputate if necrosis occurs. They live mainly in the waters around Australia and people actually tread on them regularly. This fish gives ‘agony’ a whole new definition.
