How do you celebrate this important day?

Aside from the halloween chat meet on plug.dj I’m not really doing much with Halloween.
Last year I went to some scary movie marathon at the cinema. It was alright but I don’t think I’ll waste my money on such a thing again.

Maybe I’ll just some scary movies at home. Any suggestions for a good scary movie?

Dude, you should totally dress up as Smashed Bacon Man for Halloween!

None, though Aliens did scare me as a kid, I was 8 when I watched it. Since then nothing has been scary for me. Also the exorcist is hilarious if you can sit through a film where nothing happens.

Alien isn’t scary, seen it quite often. That was the let down for me at the cinema last year. I don’t watch a scary movie with the expectation that it’ll be a terrifying watch. But that it at least will be a good laugh. Like Saw, that movie is hilarious on a big screen.

It is when you’re 8 and it’s your first scary film, that was my initiation. Now I just laugh my ass of at horror films. Aliens remains a damn awesome film 'til this day though.

Lady, watch your mouth! Saw is probably the only horror series that I like. I am assuming you have already searched for the big names and are looking for something different. Try “Hush”. It is quiet popular right now, but I haven’t seen it. Also, I think home invasion movies have way better thrill than regular cliched horrors. Eg: Don’t breathe and Strangers.

When I was a kid, there were no labels on movies that adviced parents what was best not to watch with their kids. I loved Steven Spielberg movies ever since I was little and thus my parents figured Poltergeist would be a good watch. Movies like “Nightmare On Elm Street”, “Critters”, “Childsplay”, “The Excorsist”, “Dracula”… I guess that’s why I’m almost immune to scary movies now too. The only thing that terrifies me is clowns.

@amitrish
Saw is a good movie yes, it had me laughing from beginning to end. That’s a good thing. Thanks for the tips. I’ve looked up the trailer for Hush but that one doesn’t really scare me but the full movie is available on Youtube too so I’ll try give it a spin.

I saw the movie after commenting in here. It won’t scare you, but it is an OK movie. Don’t bother wasting your time in there. Watch something else instead.
Also, you made fun of Saw. Game over!

@amitrish Wow you’re butthurt over Saw? How hilarious!

I don’t have any Halloween plans :unamused:

Halloween…? I’ll probably get drunk and watch crappy/hilarious “horror” films I’ve already seen. Such as…

All the Reanimator movies are entertaining, but this one is spectacularly amusing in its awfulness (Jeffrey Combs is good, though).

Plus you have this fantastic song and music video to go with it:

Not just regular butthurt, but…

The Strangers is the best, closely followed by Funny Games and Inside.
