How did you fell in love with LP?

My story just ordinary… I heard crawling when my friend played it in his cd player. ChesterËs voice blown me away LOL… The lyric so deep and after I bought the CD it was not only monkey love… been in love with them until now. as simple as that… The music is unique never get bored of them. I was just junior high student that time, can not believe still into them even after I become a Mom.

My dad saw them back in 2001 at Ozzfest when there was only like 30 people watching and he fell in love with them. Then he bought Hybrid Theory and me and him listned to them although i was only 4 I really liked them. So my dad introduced me to them. I grew up listening to them. They were my first concert ever at age 7, first band or music i really heard. I was a die hard fan since i was four in 2001 now I am 15 in 2013 and still a diehard fan that will never betray them! LP 4 EVR!!!

Mine is really simple, my cousin is a little older than me and she was really into LP back in the Meteora days, so everytime I went to her place she would put a couple of songs for us to listen. Funny thing is that I was really young back then and didn’t know a thing about music, in general, I don’t think I knew what a band was, so, in a way, Linkin Park teached me all of this. And then when I grew up a little and found out that I could use the internet to search about my fav bands, I found an old interview of them (I think it was before HT was released) and there Chester says something about making music your everything if that’s really what you’d like to do for living, and this moment I saw how in love they all were with the band and how commited they were to music and I fell in love completely.

It was a few weeks after my eighth birthday and all my older brother would talk about all day was this Linkin Park band whose new cd was coming out that day. He begged and begged my mom to take us to the mall to get it and finally she gave in. She drove us to the mall and he kept going on and on about how great they were. We got home and he called me in his room and put the cd in the cd player and 10 seconds into Papercut, I knew that they were already my new favorite band. 13 years, five concerts, three tattoos, and thousands of dollars spent on merch, cds, etc.,Linkin Park is still my favorite band despite all of the people who told me LP was going to be a “phase” I grew out of. Their music has helped me through so much and it was great to see how nice of people they genuinely are when I finally met them. I consider myself a fan for life.
