Hollywood Bowl Lights

I don’t have one of these at home to play with but this might work

https://www.dmxcontrol.org/

It’s a program that looks like it cuts out the need for a lighting board. You may still need something to ‘translate’ the frequency of the light to the app.

If someone wants to work with me on this I can try and help to get these up and running for you guys

Well as @mishaloves said, if you can somehow get to reprogram it with a DMX link then yes, otherwise replacing the batteries will reset it.

I cried all night too i was on YouTube looking at the live stream and was sad and awesome . All at the same time.

Just a little Update: The battery is dead :frowning:
I thought about replacing the battery but you guys said it won’t work so I think I won’t open it!

It’s kind of sad that I found a few of these on ebay, but this might help.

Wow okay, did anyone try this?
Just wondering about the “pull tab” thing, because there’s no tab to pull

The pull tab thing just activates it. I assume it’s placed between the cells and the metal clip in @framos1792 's tear-down pic and when you remove it they make contact.

Yeah tabs activates things like that… but there never was a tab to pull on the wristband, so I’m just wondering how that is supposed to work… hmm

The staff probably pulled them off before they gave them to you. IDK how the distribution was done as I wasn’t there.

There were placed on each seat

Really weird, but interesting hahaha  Everyone is wondering about the wristbands!

What’s there to wonder about?

Well how it’s working, why it was blinking and then just shining afterwards, if you’re able to change the battery and make it work again…

It works with a programmed microcontroller, it was probably just shining after the concert because it didn’t know what to do. I’m assuming they were sending out a signal during the concert to synchronise their blinking with the appropriate song. Yes you can change the batteries but you need to reprogram it because it gets reset or try texting the number from @LP13413 's pic.

Yeah there’s a clip connecting both batteries and that tab slides between the battery and metal clip to open the contact, that’s all there is to the pull tab

And they were set to activate to the music and when they were switched on from the lighting panel they had, as was said before, probably just left to the last program set
And as I said before, when you replace battery, they go back to white and blink once per minute, about

That number in the pic might be what they were talking about to link it to the music, I’ll try it when I’m home but the pixl site did say it was text activated (pixl is the controller board inside the button)

Maybe it’s catching a different signal or just glitching out.
