Alright so weekend report: Friday night was Valentine’s day but we decided to have our Dinner on Saturday (a little bit less Busy) so as of Friday night we stayed in and watched Netflix with some Hot Chocolate (That’s a win in my book :joy:) Saturday I went to the Bakery to get Brianna our weekly Coffee treat and then just relaxed for a bit. We went shopping and Went out to eat at a nice restaurant – With no phone usage (That’s my one rule… When we go out to eat, we are going out and spend time together), Sunday we relaxed and then a friend invited us over to just hang out.

So it was a decent Weekend for the most part.

Most likely :joy: :joy: We actually have one so I think we are safe for now :joy:

hmm recently… Well I actually made something last week that I thought was amazing lol It was a Bacon Cheeseburger Burrito (I know sounds weird but was sooo good :joy:)
I just got word from Mark that he saw more than what he wanted too… He just left it at that and had a blank stare on his face like he was remembering something that scared him for life :rofl: :rofl:

Did a bit of writing and paperwork, with the heat in the whole building down. :cold_face:
Later I got finally, after a week, my car back. Needed an oil change and a new windshield, luckily most of it is covered by insurance.
After that, a nice walk with the dogs.

Every time I start work late I feel lost for the entire day. It’s so weird coming in when things have already kicked off. Today was so bad, my mind was elsewhere, and I stressed a lot because we have so many new people and zero time to train them and it’s bloody half term and it’s damn busy. I didn’t even have 5min to sit down and talk to my manager. I really hope the director of the company will come one of the days I’m working cause I need to speak with him too.

I have the next 2 days off but I really need to start writing my assignments. And I’m tired, as always :stuck_out_tongue:

Today i got the results and it was surprisingly great! Whohoo​:joy::star_struck::blush:
Btw,part of it was also a discussion with my partner about the book ‘How i live now’,and “training” for that(means we tried to think of what question the teacher could ask for the discussion)got us really deep into the book,i just can say again i love this book!
But we also watched the movie,and i almost hate the movie. In my opinion,they changed everything that made the book special,into a typical romance-story… (no more forbidden love,bc they were only step-cousins,and the rest of the family wasn’t really important, and Piper’s and Daisy’s connection didn’t really come out in comparison to the book,Piper wasn’t even that smart young girl,only cute​:neutral_face::neutral_face:) how did you find the film?(got it right that you watched it,didn’t i?:grin:)

Good afternoon everyone!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here, but I’m in a surprisingly uppy mood right now (I’ve started to rewatch Better Call Saul and I guess it’s putting me in a good mood, not sure why :joy:)

I’m also pretty sure that today or maybe tomorrow it’s my 1-year anniversary of joining the LPU so it’s fitting I’m here now. It doesn’t feel like that long ago, time does fly sometimes…

A bit over a week ago I got started on antidepressants. I haven’t noticed the effects yet but there also haven’t been side effects so at least there should be no trouble with them.

I also very recently got hired in a job I really wanted :slight_smile: When I came back to the Netherlands after working for Apple in Ireland I looked for similar roles here (data analytics). After being unsuccesful for a while I found this junior position as database analyst - with plenty of room for growth within the company, so they tell me. I’m starting in March, looking forward. The office is in a pretty good location (it could be better, but could also be much worse).

In less upbeat news, along with the antidepressants I was also supposed to start therapy soon, but now that I won’t be available during the week that’s off the table now, and there’s no foresight of me being able to do it at any point… I don’t know how that is going to play out in the long term.

Also, on the same day that I had the job interview I stopped by a Starbucks while I was on the way to Amsterdam to meet someone, and I started chatting with a guy sitting next to me since I could see from a text on his laptop that he was doing a study similar to the one I did, at the uni I went to. Right before we said goodbye I asked for his number and we’ve been chatting ever since, so I also made a new friend that day. Hope it lasts for a while longer xD

I liked, how they portrait the way kids and teens take the world, accepting the given reality without questioning. This right at the beginning, the news, the military, the controls, we as audience see it, but they just take it.
I like how they made Daisys thoughts visible or better audible.
I love the whole part, where the kids live there self organised life. Remembers me of my childhood and that of my best friend. This way of negligence by intellectual parents. Also this taking in of the really and actually neglected and abused neighbours boy.
I love the whole portrait of Daisys developments from the self revolving teenager to this responsible person.
I like that they skipped the cousin part.
And I love Piper. See her with blond hair and you have me as a kid. I like, that she is just a child.
And yeah, I love the love story too.
